New to HD2, 23 Apr 2010I've done that before. But in the weather tab there are 2 ... moreTo stop that auto connection
Install a program called “data controller”.
It is a sim data override switch.
If you install “O!market” on your phone. You can use that program to find/download/install “data controller”

The one that auto change is called “My location” It is always the first one on the weather tab list. You can’t get rid of it. And it uses the built in GPS to know where you are. Then it uses the internet to download the weather information. “data controller” can block it from doing the weather download.
If on the clock screen you don’t have “my location” as the active clock then what every city you have active will not be able to delete in the weather tab.
If on the clock screen “my location” is the active clock and you want to use a city you set in the weather tab as the active clock. Tap the clock, and then tap the dot next to the city you want to make the active clock on the clock screen. Or tap “add city” if you are not seeing the city you want in the list.

Turn of internet time sync and time synchronization from the path a gave.
And manually set it from the path I gave.

If you only talking about the weather and location info on the home screen.
Tap on the clock; add the city you want to see.
Then tap the gray button, so the green highlight will move off of my location a go to the city you pick.
Then tap back. It would be best to restart the phone after that so the “time zone city location” can be updated if you still have the “internet time sync” on.

New to HD2, 23 Apr 2010I know which time zone i am in! My time zone is GMT+3:30 T... moreWell if you’re a 100% sure it is not the online time keeping settings of the phone. It has to be the service provider time keeping setting on there systems that are off. Your phone and there system not running on the same GMT so you are getting a time shift on the incoming text. There is nothing you can do about that. Unless you own the cell service provider in your area.

But just incase you want to try what I said, here are the locations.

Internet time sync = settings>data services>internet time sync

                    Time synchronization = settings>wireless controls>phone>menu>network selection>GSM/UMTS Services>Time Synchroniztion

Manual setting of time zone = settings>Menu>all settings>clock & alarms

New to HD2, 23 Apr 2010I live in Tabriz. (+3:30 GMT) But the problem is that time... moreLong story short, I ended up having to turn off. “Internet time sync” in Data Services and turn off “Time Synchronization” in phone settings, then manually pick the zone and time in settings>menu>All settings>clock & Alarms.

Note: if you don’t turn both those things off, any change you make in that “clock & Alarms” will be undone when you go online.

I can only see one +3:30 and it is “GMT+ 3:30 Tehran”
If you live at +3:30 and the phone is using +3:00 you may want to do what I did above.
Other than that the problem is on the provider end and there is nothing you can do about that.
Believe it or not. Thanks to modern tec. your phone can now access server info to auto set them self’s. an advance phone would be thrown off by a provider using outdated systems. (Which is fine for basic phones but a disaster for the more advanced one that use more automation.)
