JS, 12 Apr 2010Hi Anthony, i would like to ask you about push email. can ... moreH otm ail, li ve, ms n, gm ail, Go ogle ma il, AO L & Out-look have there setting built-in to the phone. All the rest can be added once you know the settings.
There are other things that auto connect and because of this sometimes the auto disconnect does not work.
You going to want a unlimited plan or use a data over-ride switch to let you control when the phone can go online using your sim

Kim (Australia), 12 Apr 2010(i hope this large post works!!) I bought this phone abo... moreSettings for bluetooth are located.
    Settings>menu>all settings>Bluetooth

Weather is seen in two pleases the clock screen and the weather tab. And is represented in two ways, city or by “My location”
In the weather tab a city has to be added or removed manually by you the user. But the “my location” option picks the city for you by using the built-in GPS (which will take longer to update if you are indoors)
You can get the weather for more than one city at the same time on the weather tab and you see them by sliding up/down on that screen. “My location is always the first one (1/* Is seen on the right side)
(Adding more cities is done by going in menu.)
What city or using my location on the clock screen is set by taping on the clock and putting the green dot on the city you want or put it on “my location”

Hope this helps… and talk more about the other thinks you don’t like, maybe there are fixes for them already and you just don’t know about it.

The one thing I really miss about my old nokia95 is ....ease of making international call using "calling card". I mean...you can save all info of calling card... one time by using "P" & "w" key and then link to contact list. That way i do not need to press all those calling card nos & contact no.

Is there any better way to use "calling card" with HD2? I make lots of international call with calling card and its kinda pain in neck.

Pause & wait do work in HD2 but the problem is ....phone's contact list does not open up like in nokia. All card info can be saved in hd2 like nokia but i need to dial the number manually.... can not simply pick up contact from phone's contact list.

I have had HD2 now for 3 months. Great phone but just not as a phone. It is always freezing whenever i try to answer calls. Other than that, no complaints.

(i hope this large post works!!)

I bought this phone about a month ago and i love it(novelty may not have worn off yet!!), it does so much that i wanted my phone to do. it was a choice between this and the iphone for me, but this does more than the iphone, the app store is not so much compatible to apple's, but aside, windows is catching up in this market.
The phone itself is very big, which is something that some people dont like, i personally like the big screen on it, allowing to watch good quality videos that i can sinc VERY easily with my windows pc. (another reason i love windows mobile)

there are however a few things that could be improved, which might help make up your mind if looking to buy one.

the phone has a very fast respnse time when moving from application to application and so on, but for some reason my phone has a problem hanging up from phone calls, and i end up pressing red about a dozen times before it responds, (not always this much, but sometimes a little frustrating)

also a little annoying that you cant choose how you would like to connect to the internet when going online, if you havnt already connected to wi-fi, it automatically uses your 3G (or Next G) network (fine if your plan includes unlimited downloads)

bluetooth is a little difficult to use transfering things as i have yet to find the settings for it (if there are any- if anyone knows, please let me know) and it appears as if the phone is always hidden, (or mostly) and makes for a difficult time connecting.

also the weather application on the phone is great, i love being able to check it so freely whenever i want, and i can set it up to automatically update when i move from place to place, unfortunately (being from australia) all the cities are in the us or the uk and i cant set it up to manually find my city. when i press the update now button, sometimes it finds a city that isnt near me at all, and if i keep updating it finds mine. (bit confusing and a bit frustrating- hope you can make sense of that!!)

overall, minus a few bumps and tweaks that could be dealt with, (though minor) i love it, and am very happy with my decision over the iphone, and i wouldnt take it back. :) hope this helps with decision making guys

Ive had this phone now for 3 months, without a doubt the best phone going! But it does tend to freeze from time to time and a few minor faults but the superb quality of the HD2 over rides any minor faults :) 9/10

Does anyone know whether or not the T-Mobile version of the HD2 has 3G+ compatibility on Canadian networks?

It doesn't seem that it will become available in Canada very soon which is why I ask. Though I could be wrong? Any insight would be much appreciated! Thanks

                            - I realize this is the second time it's been posted but I could not find a reply to it.

Because if you are on one web page and it is not refreshing, no data is being used.
If you are on an audio or video site 500mb will be used up in no time at all.
If you are on a text based site 500mb would last forever.
So it all depends on what you do when you using data from the SIM.
Stay away from streaming videos, audio, program downloads , Hi Res pictures, facebook, YouTube skype voice calls & e-mail attachments. And 500mb should last you a month.
Leave those things for Wi-Fi or get and unlimited plan.

pp, 11 Apr 2010comparing hd2 and hd mini... differ in the price...does it ... more1. The HD2 screen is bigger by an inch in the diagonal. The mini screen is smaller than the iPhone screen.
                                        2. The HD2 is 480P the mini is only 320P
                                        3. The HD2 has a minimum of 64mb more RAM than the mini for performance.
                                        4. The HD2 can go up to 32gb microSD the mini stops at 16gb
                                        5. The HD2 can be used as a Wi-Fi router. The mini can’t
                                        6. HD2 has almost twice the processing power of the mini for performance.
                                        7. HD2 has a flash for the camera (important of indoor shots) the mini does not.

So take that in consideration when you want to save money.
My advice is if the money is an issue, buy a original factory unlocked HTC Touch Diamond 2 and upgrade it for free on HTC site to win mo 6.5 the spec is about the same but you get a 480P screen which is better for your eyes. Or the HTC Touch HD and put a cooked leo ROM on it. for the same reason and you will get a bigger screen.
