I did download using my s/n no and the file si... moredon't panic, nothing I wrong with your phone. just keep it plugged in.
the problem is your internet.
go some where else and do the download. the file is 190mb so you don't have the full ROM. the bands are a good thing. that is the phones boot loader and it is still working, and that is good. will write more when I get to work. (you have no need for HSPL)

I did download using my s/n no and the file size is 15.2Mb. I did download 5-6 times using two computers as it says 190mb when you first try to download. But after download it is 15.2mb.
I just followed instruction. I could see flashing for few second and then the message came "file is corrupted". After that god knows wat happened. Now i can not do nth....not even charge battery i think coz led does not flash also.
Everything was running fine under my old rom 1.48 and I am just stupid to update. May be Souran is right ...i did not put HSPL first but again this is not cooked rom and i think i do need hspl to flash update rom. I contacted htc and told me to bring to singapore care center. Problem is i am in china now. Big headache. I asked them to send step by step instructions but they want me send back to them.
All I have now is 4 colorful line (red, green, blue & white)and there is some text info about spl on red line. I am without phone now....making me crazy.

If you did you don't need hspl like what, souran said.
What i need to know in order to help you.
The file size of the ROM you downloaded?
Describe to me how you tried to install it?
When you see the bands and you are hooked to the PC, do you see the words “serial” or “USB”?
Note: please keep the battery charged more than 50% if i am to help you.

HI Anthony!!
I am in big problem now....i tried to update rom from 1.48 to rom 1.66 (downloaded from htc southeast asia) and in the process it said "corrupted file". After that everything went wrong. Now I can not do nothing on my phone. There are 4 colorful lines and spl info on top left side of screen. I can not get rid of this lines. I took out battery, did soft & hard reset, hold down vol button etc.....nothing works now. It just hanged & stuck....Pls help!!!

First give-away.. Registered business would not use a free domain like
h o t m a i l as a contact address.
Next give-away.. A mon.ey gr.am transaction can't be traced to a business address. So you could never find them after they have your money. West.ern uni.on don't refund money if you don't get your item like vi.sa would.

I am a BB 8900 user and I do love it, however I want to try something new and would rather not join the masses of iphone users, I am seriously thinking about the HD2, is there anything that should make me get it? I just love the look and spec. Thanks

Nice to know u in this forum. Actually I bought it since early January 2010 from Skypeware, the authorized dealer from HTC in Cambodia, located along Monivong Blw n opposite the Penh Chet restaurant. That is why I got the old Rom.
Anyway, many thanks to Anthony for his always help!

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970hey there, easy choice between hd2 n iphone.. if ur just into gaming, iphone would be good. but hd2 is slowly having btr games now. its mainly cause windows mobile has nv had such a powerful device i think..
anyway,i honestly think hd2 is btr.. but if u can wait, might wanna take a look at htc desire :)

What I would like to see is when the HD3 comes out, I want to see someone port over WM6.5.X on it.... I just don't care for WM7 right now... It looks to plain.............
