It helps having that big screen with the 480x800 res to read what you are doing.
It helps to have all that RAM and CPU to open large documents.
The phone comes with “Microsoft mobile Office” word, Excel & OneNote are editors.
Power Point is just a viewer.

But you will get the youtube App in the start menu that you say you don’t have now.
Or if you don’t what to do the hack
Just install skyfire web browser on your phone and use that for flash video web sites

1. Active sync or Windows Mobile Device Center (depending on which version of Windows you have on your PC)
2. The Download of the ROM you want to put on.
3. The Download of HSPL
4. The Download of your Original ROM (For backup purpose)
5. A program that can uncompress .rar files (if you don’t have one i recommend “7-zip”)
1. Do a Google search to find it on the Microsoft site if you don’t already have it.
2. Here is an S/N that will let you get the UK ROM from HTC web site. HT9AZNW00968
3. The link to get HSPL (you may have to register to be able to download)

When you go to the page click on “Shared folder for shipped Leo ROMs”

note: the Release notes on HSPL has nothing to do with installing it.
1. Show you how to see your current SPL version (don’t need to do that)
2. Tells you what HSPL does.
3. Tell you it voids your warranty
4. Tells you how to remove it (get back your warranty :-))
5. Disclaimer for if you do some crap like disconnect the phone med way or Power goes from your PC med way.
I will go through what you have to do with the downloaded files after you get them if you like.

If i get the 1.66 update will it enable flash and make the videos work. I know im bleating on about videos but i travel/commute a lot and need something to do/watch in my spare time!

Finally changing from N95!! I'm trying to decide between BB Bold 9700 or HTC HD2. Definitely need internet access and a decent camera. Does anyone know if I was access a Word doc on laptop - can I update/upload it onto any of these products? Any advice welcome. Thanks

if you look at the name of the file i gave at the end of that post you will see it has a _2 in it and i left it out. so it is the same ROM.

hey anthony i have a problem with my hd2 when i watch youtube videos through the app it works at first, but it always says connecting and doesn't work any more, if i do a hard reset the same thing happens, i even change the roms and still have that same problem
is it just my phone ??

2.04.50.22 that you have stated. Thought i would bring it to your attention as im not sre if ts important that there is a slight difference?
Im just scared of doing the hacking thats all but im thinking i will do it though. How do i start?!

My radio version is shown as
2.04.50.22_2
rather than the
2.04.50.22 which you have quoted. Thought i would point it out as im not sure if its relevant or important for you to know. Im kinda thinking that i will go ahead and hack the phone (although im scared shitless incase im left with a house brick!) You will have to walk me through it as im a total techno novice! Perhaps contact me via e-mail if you dont want to do it on here???
