stick with duttys you cant go wrong his are the best, miri on the other hand i wouldn't recommend

OneD, 24 Feb 2010Flashing Dutty ROM 2.1WWE very stable and much faster compa... moreI manage my RAM manually, but I do use a RAM & battery monitor called "dciBattery and QwertyMemory" its 2 small programs that load to the task bar for monitoring RAM & battery use. It does nothing more/nothing less.
Download & unzip the file
Copy the 2 .exe files to...
My Device/Windows/Startup
Then run them from there.

Note: don't try to copy the files from your PC straight to the "Startup" folder. (that folder may never open from your PC) copy the files to the phone then use the "file explorer" on the phone to move the files to the "Startup" folder

Flashing Dutty ROM 2.1WWE very stable and much faster compare to my old stock ROM. Thanks to Anthony again for your quick guide.Did not work good with RAm Sweeper( application) anyone has this kind application?.Always freeze whenever i use RAM Sweeper. Anthony, High Tech or anybody-is there application to monitor RAM?Thanks

I installed the 1.66 rom a fter HSPL download... moreA quick and easy fix to most syncing problems.
Go to "settings"
Tap on “Other”
Tap on “USB to PC”
Uncheck the Box that says “Enable Faster data synchronization”
Tap “done”
Note: that box should only be check when you are connected to a fast/hi-power USB2 port not the older/low power USB1.1 port.
(so when that is on and you are connected to a Laptop on battery power some times it works and some times it don't. save your self the headache and just leave it off unless you are hooking to a desktop PC with a USB2 port.)

Hi, Anthony.
I installed the 1.66 rom a fter HSPL download. Erevrythin went smoothly, easier than I thought. Thanks a million for your help.
I am however having problems synching my phone, not sure if this is as a result of the new rom ??? Are there attendant problems with rom upgrades ??????

I'm using Miri ROM Review: Miri HD2 WM6.5.X (23540) ROM :: Sense 2.5 :: V 4.1. So far so GOOD. It's working fine so far, no problems for me. I've been using it now for two days, and it seems to be very stable for everyday use.... I will keep this one as my everyday ROM... I'm tired of trying diff ROM's, and having to install all the app's back on, and setup like I want..... If I do test another ROM it has to be new feature's for me to test.... Will wait til WM7 is out to test???? That'll be my next test of a ROM.......

Regarding the skype issue-
wont it be possible to use moto script so the wifi doesnt go in sleep mode when skype is activated and onces its exited the profile is changed.
I dont own HD2 but I think this can be done.
Kindly comment.
Planning to buy HD2 awaiting price fall

But you can install skyfire web browser on your phone and it will play flash video.

Skype User, 23 Feb 2010Skype was cut off during conversation and the phone goes in... more Ok I’m aware of that problem with skype.
And I have 2 solutions for you. They are not ideal but they will get the job done.
1. Install “HD2 Tweak” and use it to set WiFi standby mode to "Active".
(Doing this will make the WiFI stay active even when the screen goes off.
The Down side to this is once your WiFi is on it will never sleep and your battery will drain faster.)

2. go to “settings”
tap on “Sound & Display”
tap on “Backlight”
un-check “Turn of device if not used for:”
(Doing this will stop the phone from sleeping which will also stop the WiFi from sleeping. The down side is because the phone stops sleeping the battery will drain faster.)
So which ever method you try it would be best to only do that when using skype then set if back when you are done.
