I've already tried re-formatting my storage card several times using the in-house formatter previously, but the problem still persisted. I think the mp3 files are valid, as I can play them if i click on them individually from file explorer, but i cant play them indirectly from win media player or from the album cover flow from the 'music' tab. i'm on the brink of desperation, help!!!

Sarah, 22 Feb 2010Hi Souran, thanks for replying. I have tried hard resetting... morehi Sarah, i think that the copied .mp3 aren't valid files, try to format your SD card first and then put some of then to sd card, you can either "drag and drop" or use activesync.

I have tried hard resetting... moreyes your warranty will be no longer valid.but you can allways load back ur original ROM if in case u wanna use ur warranty,before flashing any ROM make sure to download your original ROM.about the music player just try dellet the present files and load some other MP3 files and see what happenes,i am sorry i cant be more of help

I have tried hard resetting my hd2 several times already but the music playing problem still persisted. I realised that I can only play music files that i have transferred into my storage card only by playing them directly from windows explorer..
about using other customised ROM: i read somewhere that if you flash these ROM's, your HTC warranty would no longer be valid, is that true?

Sarah, 22 Feb 2010In addition to point 1, I can only play music files when I ... moreHmm if u can play the same files in ur explorer which goes to windows media player see if your phone gets kind of slow while its playing the file if so just dellet your album and load some other MP3s and check it then.if your problem solved then its problem whith ur files if not just change ur ROM to Dutty V 1.9.good luck

Sarah, 22 Feb 2010Hi all fellow HD 2 users out there, I had just bought my HD... morehi i don't know what the problem there with ur music player but about the diff ROMs there are allways some problem with the phone out of the box so this ROMs will try to solve those problems also included some extra softweares somethimes,the only thing that comes to my mind about ur mucis player problem is that maybe u delleted some registeri files on windows directory on device memory,i am using Dutty V 1.9 and its really fast and no problems,first try Hard reset your phone once and see what happens.it shouls solve the problem.

Hi all fellow HD 2 users out there, I had just bought my HD2 2 days ago and I’m experiencing some issues that I hope I can get some answers on. This is my first winmo smart phone and thus I am encountering lots of questions and uncertainties.
1)I can’t seem to play .mp3 music files on my HD2, when I tried to play them, via the 'Music' tab at Home screen, it gave me an error report saying that audiomanager_eng.exe has encountered a problem. The albums that I had dragged and dropped into the storage card had album arts displayed but when I tried to play them, all the songs inside the albums are 0.00, and the error report came on.
2)I have heard a lot about customized/cooked ROM’s, especially those by Miri and Duttys, but I don’t exactly understand what do these ROMs differ from the official ones released from HTC’s website. I have just updated my ROM version to 1.66.707.1, which I had obtained from the HTC SEA homepage (I’m from Singapore). Can anyone care to shed some light?

vish, 21 Feb 2010Khalil, I flashed duttys 1.9 rom based on ur recomendati... moreI've flashed several ROM's from Dutty, Miri, Touch It, and so on. I'm currently using Miri ROM v4 WM6.5.X. I like the look of this one (WM6.5.X). I like having the soft keys at the bottom. Makes it easier for one hand operation for me. I'm going to stick with this one for now. Miri also released a version 5 today. That one doesn't have the WM6.5.X soft keys at the bottom. Just head over to HTCPedia to get the ROM's...........
