will this phone be offered in the U.S. . also will htc be installing javascript, flashplayer, as well be able to link to xbox and netflix. if so then i will definitely switch from android to windows.

Anonymous, 21 Feb 2010i live in delhi india..n i m using hd2 for a week or so..th... morehi I don't know what is your name but I live in india too I must say I am very disappointed in your comment because I have to say I think you don't have this phone at all, because the problem that you described I never heard of.I bought my hd2 in india but I dose not have any of this problems.you are saying it slower than 500M cpu how is it possible chief say something that would fly.there are some issues but all can be fixed with software update.some people want to make up their mind by reading this comments please no lies.you are saying when you press volume down you sound will go up i never heard any one says that.

why is this phone not available in the U.S. and opearting on android. we are waiting for the first company to do so. hoping htc delivers. plus add javascript and flashplayer and you will be untouchable.

I flashed duttys 1.9 rom based on ur recomendation . do u recomend flashing any other rom based on ur experience .
dutty is nice have had no issues so far just the
facebook application is .14 whreas there is a cab for the .17 version .
let me know how version v2 works out .
this is my first winmo and after the rom flash i love it even more .!!

Hi Russell, thanks for your email.
I do not know where these network assistants got this information as it is not correct. The official answer is that "We are working closely with Microsoft on Windows Phone 7 Series and look forward to releasing new handsets which will use the new OS." reading between the lines, it would seem therefore that the answer would be no.
There are many reasons for this, not least Steve Ballmers announcement that "no current handsets will be upgraded", Also 7 Series is NOT an upgrade to 6.5. Microsoft is releasing it as a totally new and separate OS from the exisiting Windows Mobile versions. 6.5 will continue to be developed, even after 7 will be available, to offer two different OS versions for different needs. 6.5 will remain more business orientated, and for devices with OS skins on them (Like the HD2 which uses our Sense skin), and 7 Series for new, more media and social based handsets, which will not be skinned.
Therefore, I can only recommend that if you specifically want 7, you will need to wait for it to be available on new handsets If the HD2 meets your needs, then i would consider buying it anyway, as the 6.5.x software will continue to be developed even after 7 is released.

If this is true and the HD2 will not get official WP7 update, I'll look else where for my next phone. Seeing as I will need to buy a better equiped phone to handle WP7 if I go that route. HD2 is fine right NOW........

2. if the phone was perfect then people would not ask me for help.

I have just got a t-mobile htc hd2 last Tuesday, this is my first touch screen phone. I need some help and direction in how i can stream live football.....? I have try using media stream, i could not able to find any rstp links, and also i could not able to use you-tube. The funny things is.... there is option to put in your user name and password on the settings -> data services -> social networks ( it switch on) and nothing happen..... than i could not update through htc directly because of my version. Can someone please help....... Thank you very much

guys , i have come to the conclution that its th speaker thats dameged on my HD2, i am going to take it to the HTC agent to have a look at it ...i hope it will be fixed...coz its an amazing phone

I don't care one way or the other about HTC. I also own a OM2 (Samsung).... I'm not tied to any manufacturer.... I buy what meets my NEEDS..... In using the HD2 I haven't had any problems with my phone. I can careless what phone people buy...... I'm just here to give my results of working with the HD2 and the diff app's, and ROM's I've used..... If someone comes on here to talk down on the HD2, I just want people to know that there's user's who don't have problems with their HD2... Besides people who post here ARE not HD2 user's (iphone, blackberry, etc. users) tyring to bring donw the HD2.... So YES I will post my results GOOD or BAD about the HD2... If you read some of my post back in Nov 09 to present you will find some negative posts about the HD2, but those issues have been fixed.....................

Hi, Anthony, thanks for all your previous help. I have a UK TMobile HD2 with the details below.I have followed your previous comments about ROMs and i would like to upgrade to the 1.66 Rom but I am aware that being a provider rom i wouldn't be able to do that.
Could you guide to me thru ???
Also can I use the s/n you provided earlier ???
