Where you get all that crap from?
I told you download the HSPL and run it from your PC with the phone in sync mode
Then run the rom from your PC with the phone in sync mode.
2 lines of instructions and I gave the links to get the files.
Why you want to complicate things?
Stop talking about jail breaking, this is not and iphone. It was never under lock and key to begin with.
Follow what it told you and stop trying to mix and match.
There are many ways to do this. I picked the one that is best for your situation.

Hey anthony!
i did't had the time yesterday to do this.
so let me just see if i got everything straight.
i have downloaded the HSPL and the Leo.
i need to change the HSPL name right? and where exactly should i put it? (wich folder?)
the do the factory reset by pressing the down volume button and the power button.
once thats done my phone is jailbreaked right?
then all i need is run the leo from my pc or do i need to transf to the phone and then run on the phone?
sorry for all the questions, but i just want to get it right :)

recently i got a hd2 from telestra in sydney.... moreI don’t know much about the telestar rom or there service so you would need to answer some questions for me first.
1.what is your rom version?
2. Are you using the phone with the telestar sim at all or only the vodafone sim?
3. When you go to… settings-wireless controls-tap the words “data connection”… is it set to your country and voda phone, or can you change it to that?

OneD, 09 Feb 2010once in a while there is an error about manila not that oft... moreYour wifi problem, I don’t know if I would call it a bug or and oversight on HTC’s part.
That Wi-Fi switch grays out when you are connected to your PC in sync mode.
You have to disconnect from sync mode for it to become active again.
Your rom is not a cell provider branded rom so the only advantage you may see between 1.66 rom over the 1.48 rom as far as I could tell is you don’t have to install any of the hotfix files and it does not use as much program memory to run.
If you just want to do it the rom upgrade as practice for when you start flashing cooked roms that is the only real reason I can see for you to do it.

As far as i know there is not any provider offer unlocked 3G Network on HTC HD2-You could still check with them and let me know.I asked Telus and Fido and they said no.

Anthony, 09 Feb 2010OneD why do you want to change your ROM? are you having... moreonce in a while there is an error about manila not that often though. Other thing when i connect to wifi when i try to switch off the wifi the on/off button is fading (unable to turn the it off) I am just wondering by upgrading the phone will improve the performance or may be something else. what do you suggest? since the HTC website(some part of the country/region)already proving an update so just a thought may be this could help.

hi Anthony..
recently i got a hd2 from telestra in sydney..my phone hanged several times while i browsing internet..what should i do? is that manufacturing fault? i should send it for servicing?
and 1 more thing..while i want use preinstalled application like face book/twitter..its by dafult need access telestra internet connection...while i am browsing internet by internet explorer using vodafone internet settings..HOW i can configure those programs settings..to have access from vodafone internet settings..and delete all telestra internet pre settings?

i was downloading the HSPL and reading the in... moreNote.. When you are installing your phone rom. The program will at some point restart you phone in boot loader mode but this time the word should say “USB”. if you get that everything is going ok.
If it is not saying “USB” but “Serial” and when you look at your PC, it is not installing the drivers. Just remove the cable and put it back in. Your PC will install the USB drivers then and the word “USB” should come up
Once you get that, just exit the flashing program on your PC and run it again with the phone still in boot loader mode.

I've been using the Miri ROM now for the last two days, and I must say it's running like a charm. All my apps loaded just fine. The ROM is quite fast and smooth. I think I might keep this one for awhile, until HTC releases the talked about WM6 or WM7. The Miri ROM doses everything I need it to do. I've added Spb Shell on top, and they both (Sense and Spb) are running together, thanks to the Shell TF3D switcher program.... I think the ROM is worth a try. It also has the Doc Tab that I wanted, and it unlocks the xtra RAM. I've loaded tons of apps and games and still has 113MB of free space. Might add a couple of more games, and I'm done with apps... The only thing I've noticed is that when you sync with PC it has a little lag when you first run, but after a few min everything is fine. Now I haven't tested the ROM with GPS, because I don't use that often. Someone else can check that and report back??? The wifi works well, no problems. I need to unlock wifi N on the HD2, and test that.... The Sense UI with the 60 icons works well. I really like that program. It acts like Spb Shell. You get 3 pannels to put 20 shortcuts on each pannel..... Will report back later on my testing of Miri ROM...........I would give it a try.............

When it is off, hold down the volume down key
Still holding that key, press the power key.
It will start in boot loader mode and you will see the SPL version and the word “serial” in the white band.
To get back out of this you will have to take your battery out and put it back in.
But you don’t really have to do this check because if you don’t have SPL 1.42. HSPL just will not install.
Do the rom change just the way i said and you will have no problems. I know this because i did it myself first.

i was downloading the HSPL and reading the instructions and its says the following:
"
1) To install this HSPL there must be SPL 1.42.0000 on your device.
Otherwise the installation will fail!
To check your SPL version, hold the Volume Down button and do a reset.
It is possible to downgrade to this SPL, by just flashing to an Official ROM
with this SPL version."
is SPL my ROM version?
this is what i have:

is it ok to go trought with it or should i wait?

With all that space for quick links now many of you are going to want to use custom icons for your programs.
Well you can make your own .png files or use Google to find some for download then use CSMI v1.4b to set them as your program icons.

Anthony i was redefining the search on the opinions to HSPD and i was really impressed with your knowladge.
