Just got this phone thru an upgrade on UK T Mobile.I got this phone mainly becos of the screen size and processor. I just downloaded E Sword on it and it isn't looking like it does on my ipaq 214.I first downloaded the program for Windows Mobile 6 (WVGA only)but that didn't look good so i tried the program for Windows mobile 5 & 6 (v3.0.1) but it seem to be worse than the first one. Can any one help with this ?????

Wish you could help me with an advise. Though not related to HTC or WinMo, your help would be much welcome.
I intend to use my Nokia N95 8GB with a Vodafone account to send out bulk SMS. Typing and sending from PC by connecting phone to PC via Nokia PC suite works well, but I can send to those on my contact list only (OR type out each new number one by one- very cumbersome!). How can I send out Bulk SMS (without having to save all those numbers in my phone contacts list). Is there a way to save the target numbers in say- a text file or excel sheet and use some 3rd party software to export that list to send SMS via the phone?

Bharpreet_India, 01 Feb 2010Hi Anthony, The language by default in india in English. ... moreI am from india too. there is an sms hotfix on the india site .that should solve the sms issue. I think u need to chose asia in the drop down list for ur phone.
I've noticed the sms gets stuck in the outbox only when there is no network connectivity.

Bek, 01 Feb 2010Hi everyone, I am choosing between HD2 and Sony Ericsson ... moreI have looked very quickly at the Satio. If you really need the 12mp camera or prefer Symbian OS over WM6.5 go for that Satio (also see the future regarding OS: Windows Mobile is a very 'fun' OS atm, because everybody is talking and hyping about Windows Mobile 7. What I am trying to say is you are going to enjoy it now, and the period waiting till WM7. I am not a fan of that Symbian OS)

One more thing, maybe the HD2 is to big for you! If you can try it out, you really should.

And for the rest... well go HD2!! Best hardware. The screen, processor, camera, build quality, HTC Sense, the freedom of the OS, things to look forward to... well, you know, really a good choice. I am still 100% happy with my HD2, and I never though I would be with ANY smartphome. But this... this is just amazing!

The language by default in india in English.
Infact i have started looking at the outbox if i dont receive the delivery notification. But is there any way we can get the sms delivered from out box. (Nothing happens even after doing resend in the option). The SMS will get delivered at its own will.

                Kindly help.

sandy, 31 Jan 2010hi antony.. u r our teacher here can u tell me for what hd2... moreBoth HD tweak and BsB tweaks are programs that give you access to settings that HTC deliberately hid away from the user of the phone.
They both have allot of settings in common but also have some setting you can only find in one or the other. That is why I use them both. The trick is for the settings they have in common, only change that setting in one of the programs and not try to do it in both. For me the only thing I use the HD2 tweak to do is block WAP but keep MMS active. BsB tweak would block them both. And to edit Bluetooth settings, BsB tweak does not have that.
All the rest I use BsB tweaks.
All setting has explanations next to them. So there is no need for me to go into each and every one. I would talk about the “Windows Notifications” in BsB tweaks… when you switch that on. And I calendar reminder goes off it will let you pick how long to snooze for instead of just using the default 15min snooze.

Atul, 31 Jan 2010As per the person posting the video, the phone was returned... moreHere is a test you can do yourself you have this phone.
Wet a paper towel and pass it on the screen and you will see it will respond as if you were touching the screen. Now pass your hand through any water that may be left back on the screen and see what happens.
Note: don’t be foolish and soak the phone. You just want enough water to duplicate a sweating hand or face.
If you don’t have this phone you can try it on an iPhone but the capacitive screen is more sensitive to the electrical signature of water on this phone.

Isn't the HD2 bigger in ... moreNo you have it wrong... at its thickest point the HD2 is 11mm which is in the centre-back and it tapers off to all sides to about 6mm making it very easy for your hand to rap around the edge. The HD is 12mm think and its base ant top is thinker. There is no real way the test max capacity for the storage card because the biggest card you can get to buy for MicroSD right now is 16GB and that is what i have in my HD2 right now. It will also work in the HD. And there is now word when a bigger MicroSD will come out for sale (don’t mix-up “microSD” with “SD” micro is about 3 times smaller in physical size). But the HD2 has more internal storage and program memory so that makes it better.

I had the HD for 1year before I sold it to get the HD2. This phone fits in the hand better because it is so thin and because of its curved back which make all the edges slimmer than the square or eased back edge of the HD. The HD2 battery cover is metal and use a ballbearing technology to lock so there are no plastic clip to break like the HD. The HD is a good phone but the HD2 is better in every way but 1. It has no front cam.

to rap things up, if you think the HD2 is too big then the HD is too big as well.

And, due to its being relatively thin, it's comfortable holding it to the ear. However, I like to use the headset for calls, as it keeps the screen clean and less microwaves go to the brain.
