the 2nd line is what I wanted to make sure changed to 3.03HSPL
After you get the English rom working I will want you to try something to get it to read as SPL-3.03.0000 XE

But for now, it is time to install the ROM

If you are still on the screen with the 4 bands you can remove the battery to get the phone out of that.

      1. power on the phone normally
      2. connect the phone to the PC in ActiveSync mode (option 1)
      3. Run the ROM you download on your PC and follow the onscreen instructions.

Note: when it says it will take about 10 min, it takes a lot less than that.
Your battery must have more the 50% power to install a ROM.

When you are done setting up the phone let me know. There are some things I want to check to make sure everything is ok.

If you already did that’s ok, it would not have undone what we did before.

That screen comes up if you hold both volume UP and DOWN at the same time when turning on the phone.
What I want you to do is hold volume DOWN only when turning on the phone.

Note: If you are doing that and still getting the screen you said then you must have a “LEOIMG.nbh” file on your SD and you need to remove it or keep the SD out of the phone till we are done. (Better to remove the leoimg.nbh)

If you going to do it on a XP PC you going to need ActiveSync not WMDC
                      http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=15
and if that PC is 64bit you will need the .msi version of 7zip

                      lets get started.
                      1. install ActiveSync on PC
                      2. install 7zip on PC
                      3. connect phone to PC via USB and pick ActiveSync as your connect option (it should be the 1st option)
                      4. set-up the phone to connect with ActiveSync.
                      5. when connected right click the HSPL4 file and use “7zip” from the menu to unzip it.
                      7. run the unzipped file and follow the unscreen instructions.
                      8. if you see a drop down to choose which SPL to install, pick the highest version with HSPL in the name.
when you have done that and you have restarted your phone let me know.
(phone should still be in french)

Anonymous, 08 Jan 2012can we upgrade this phone on windows 7 pls tell me the phone can be upgraded to windows 7 but it requires cooking a new rom to make the phone think that it is a HTC HD7, on top of this you will need to aquire a HD7 windows activation key and overall is not woth the effort in my humble opinion. The HD2 runs windows mobile 6.3.5 very effectivly and if you read reviews, windows 7 has been locked down and made alot more like an iphone, meaning that there is alot less that can actually be done with the phone.
