Rinzy, 08 Jan 2012Hey, my ROM Version is 1.43.73.1 (70315) FRE.I have some not so good news
X.XX.73.1 seems to be a provider ROM (like a ROM from Orange)
And 1.43.xx.x is the first ROM ever made for this phone, so it has all the bugs in it. I want to update your ROM to a newer version before I swapped the OS to an English version, But i can’t find an updated x.xx.73.1 ROM
I am seeing newer French ROMs but they are x.xx.406.2
Do you want to try and installing the 3.14.412.2 ROM to get the bug patches then convert the OS to an English one?
OR
Will you be happy with swapping to a 1.43.405.1 ROMs which is English but just as buggy as the ROM you have now.
I wanted to get you up to 3.14.405.2 but i can’t find a 3.14.73.1 ROM to get the matching Radio Drivers.

Changing the language is not a settings change.
Each copy of Windows Mobile only comes with 1 language
For your ROM that language is French.
The good news is I know how you can make an unauthorised swap of your ROM to an English version and will be happy to help you if you are willing to follow instructions and you have the time.

Hi Anthony, I got a HD2 as a gift which is in French language. I tried to change the language in settings but couldn't. I even tried to update d software but its again in French. Can I install CHT and change into English language?

HTC also n... morethe most up-to-date ROM for this phone is 3.14.xxx.x and it is very stable. if you have that and leave the 10% minimum free space on internal storage that any windows device (PC included) need for the expantion of swap files your phone will not freeze.
note: you can still get the original HTC HD2 ROMs version 1.66.xxx.x & 3.14.xxx.x on the XDA website.

HTC hd2 always hang. Very sad to own this phone. HTC also not profesional. HTC has stopped the support of this phone. No more patches or update for this model.

I have been using the phone for the last 6 months,
It was really awesome phone to use. Speed is good,touch is gr8 no doubt. Installed android and had great fun with the mobile. Camera is good, and the flash light is brilliant.
First its difficult to control the phone due to its massive size. but after two weeks its a good baby :)
maybe the best phone i am used.

do you remember the 7 digits of your original ROM version? post that and i can find you a link to download it.
