Tried a day later and it connected fine, all I had to do was turn it on and it found my network, then I just put in my code. That's it.............

This is a good phone. Don't get mad but it lacks two or more things.
First one is video call camera and the camera sticks out which is easily get scratched. And the camera function is limited. Do something HTC. Firmware update.

This is a known problem with the HD2. HTC released a hotfix that was supposed to fix this problem but it didn't.
Many people are now waiting for a fix that works.

There are about 4 patches for this phone on the HTC web page under support one of them is for the sms. There is even a rom update on the site.
Also there is an update for the network data base that is stored on the phone.
To update that one, connect to the net on your phone without using your data plan (that is why I said WiFi)
Go to “settings” on the phone.
Wireless controls
Tap the words “data connection”
Menu
Update database
Pick “update the latest settings of all operators”
Tap “Update Database”

Happy with the phone, got the upgraded unit with win 6.5 installed (nice) with the much improved front end, came with office mobile editor, orange maps, and a good set of apps, but navigation takes some getting used to but stick with it.
Dislikes:
Battery life. Standby time at best is around 24 hours, talk time around 1 hour,( I set my phone to power saving).
Manual is on a CD and is for win 6.1 so the navigation/functions do not match
I’ve complain to Orange about the phones microphone, when talking to someone they complain that they cannot hear me, that included the support chap, it was so bad he rang me back on the land line. Orange sending out a new unit, so I’ll see if the battery life (or lack off) and the microphone are just a flukes. I’ll let u know......

I dont have any installed downloads on my phone so far.

Hi guys. does anyone experience the same. i get problems with my sent texts sometimes, most of the time I send texts and they dont get delivered to the intended persons only to find them in the outbox tray afterwards. could this be a problem with my settings coz when i use a different phone, all my sms get deliverd on the spot. Thank you
