the screen is only 480p so why do you want to watch 720p video on it?
i am using windows mobile 5 apps on it with no problem.
i used the patch and don't have pink in my videos.
and there is a patch for the sms on the htc site.
and i would love too see you use your old wm apps on a Android phones.

Hi friends, Please help me!
I bought a new HTC HD2 last week. It was working well.But today morning I found a 5cm x 1 cm irregular bubble like thing in the screen. Appears just like bubble beneath a screen card. But I haven't used any screen card or any sticker and I am sure nobody else have handled it. I bought it from authorized dealer and the set is brand new. This was not present till yesterday and I am sure that it was not exposed to water.Any idea what could be the problem?The phone is still working nicely. Please advise.

High Tech, 03 Jan 2010The WM7 requirements I read said front camera is optional. ... moreI´m sure that HD2 will get the WM7 update but I am very scpetical that the gesture controls using the front camera will work on the HD2...
I was about to purchase the HD2 but this sounds like a bad news to me and I will have to wait for the WM7 release unless someone can confirm before...

I've been very disappointed with the HTC HD2. There are many bugs still present, which haven't been fixed by HTC. The 'SMS send' bug is completely debilitating. It results in many SMSes not being sent. SMS is a basic phone feature that any cheap old phone should be able to do properly.
There's also the Pink Camera bug. It has caused the centre of photos to turn pink. You can download the HTC patch to fix it, which you transfer to the phone from a Windows PC with a USB cable. The patch does fix the pink problem for still photos, but not for video. So every unit shipping has this pink video problem. The phone has a Snapdragon processor which is supposed to be able to decode 720p video, but it doesn't work. I read that this is a bug with Windows Mobile.
You can forget about using your old apps with this phone. Most of the collection of Windows Mobile applications were designed for stylus pen input, which most Windows Phones have. Except that that HTC HD2 is the only Windows Phone with a finger multi-touch screen. And there's the problem when you try to use applications (and OS) designed for stylus on a phone designed for finger touch. They often just don't work.
Because of this, my next phone will be an Android phone.

Never used an unofficial ROM before. Will need instructions on how to load??????? Or where to find instructions????????

I figure you'll need at least a week or two to test it......Keep us POSTED???????? I can use that document tab.......If you use an unofficial ROM, can you go back to official ROM's at anytime?????????

Hiya guys, i got my HD2 a few days ago and everything is fantastic except for the fact that it cannot play youtube videos or any regular website that has any type of video attached to it like yahoo etc, i have tried via the internet explorer and opera,on IE, it shows a F9(flash player logo i think) where the video should be,via opera, youtube says ''You either have Javascript turned off or you have an older version of adobe flash player,download the latest version''..nothing happens when i try to download, any suggestions to sort this issue will be greatly appreciated.

Solitaire and bubble breaker is in the games menu by default
PIM Backup and Pocket RAR already installed
There is now a built in call recorder that is working
3G on/off switch is in the wireless controls so you have 8 switches not the default 7
.net 3.5 is already built into the rom so you don’t have to install it.
Default mail list now has 6 choices for account type instead of the default 4
File explorer, office mobile, adobe reader and email auto rotate without installing any 3rd party software.
And the new Documents tab shows your (word, excel and pdf) files on the phone with a preview. it is even seeing those files in e-mail attachments.
So far so good when i find more I’ll let you guys know.

Look at his ID Mx@E
And the ID of the person before and after him it’s all the same ID
As you can see my ID is LKmt and yours is kNkH
By the way i put on the cooked rom and my phone is still working :-)
Now i have to test it, will let you guys know what bugs i run into.
I did get and error about not seeing the phone
And it turns out that your PC has to install new USB drivers when the phone is in booth loader mode
So i just disconnected the data cable, plug it back in and let the drivers install. Then i ran the rom installation again.
The dutty rom i downloaded came with the SSPL already in the .rar file to unpack.

Maybe you need to send in your phone to be fixed or replaced. Or are U just here to bash the HD2 like others???????? I know people are bashing to make the ratings go down..........

Man let me tell u this Phone is not Cheap in india + do tell where u buying it from n how much + this is a winmo so no Software Download Center like trusted App store for Iphone n Android Market so what u get is almost all u have
so in the long term when u want an app u either download an untrusted app or buy an app specially in india even buying isnt easy n safe
hope u consider this
m thinking of going for Droid

The people that read here allot know i am the king of braking phones that’s why i don’t like phones with moving parts and always want silicon case.

im rohit from delhi and airtel user....i just bought htc hd2 on 1st of january....i have never used a windows phone(htc) before...and im sorry but im facing sum problems with using this phone like...
1-the battry is really weak ,its finishing really fast
2-its screen gets freeze many times and i have to take off its battry and switch it on again..
3-its get switched off autometically manytimes
4-i bought this phone with a idea that i dont have to browse internet sites in mobile version as it is windows phone but im still not able to use my hotmail and yahoo account like i use it on my laptop..as it always open mobile versions of these sites.................please help me with these problem...do i have to download sum updates ,if yes where can i get updates and 3rd party applications for this phone.........apart from these problems this is the best machine i have ever seen in my life its really beautiful and user friendly unlike other machines...............

You may be GOD and You may not be, but I drop and believe manner other mistakenly do and expect their phones to work normally. We here in INDIA have phones which work after being dropping in water. After drying working as usual. To name the BRAND its NOKIA.
Even my asus must have fallen from my hand and works perfectly fine.
So sometimes a KNOW ALL maynot be right always.
