so i was cautious ... duttys works fine for me .


one question about installing dvd catalyst 3 . ive got that program as a rar file on my pc and cant find a way to extract a rar.( stupid question but winrar is confusing)


the moment i double click on the rar file of dvd catalyst i see 5 rar files in there .i selected the 1st rar file and clicked on extract and then i see nothing but more rar files in the destination folder

so which ones do i have to extract to the destination folder ?

where is the setup.exe file like most programs usually have ???

(even the core player i tried to install came up as a rar file on my pc and wouldnt install when copied on the phone . i had to uninstall winrar from my pc so the the set up file came up as .cab . copied the cab file on the phone and it instaled ...)

    hey ! im wondering if i buy this, is there any software that i can install to play all video files such as .avi and mp4 or mpeg2....???? if there is please let me know... this is my mail. zikmir@live.com i want to know before i buy this cell phone.

        vish, 29 Dec 2009so this is better than duttys TM?i think so,
        in the setting tap the gray key to set the status as "run"
        that will load it to the task bar.
        but if you don't like it you can go back.

            yep, i got one on vodaphone £35 a month....phone was supposed to cost me £60 i think but traded in my Nokia 5800 so didnt cost me anything.

            Very good phone, reccomended 100%

                Now you install a task manager to the task bar.

                to "Vish" and others... the one I recommended before is old
                There is a other one out now so un-install that old one and install this instead

                          Queries

                          Problem:
                          1. that is not a bug once you using “my location” it will auto connect.
                          Use HD Tweak or BsB Tweaks to disable Data. I like HD Tweak more. I can block wap but still get mms.

                          2. that is not a bug.
                          Read your manual (download it from the htc web site it is free)
                          If you want to see the time on a call or data… tap that same task bar the notifications screen will give the time in call or online.

                                Anthony, 28 Dec 2009Tell me the steps of how you trying to do it in detail and ... moreI have finally bought HD2 and happy to hold it. Just for your information indian ROM version is with 1.48.720.2(71294) WME and Manila version is 2.5.19211619.0

                                As usauall having some (infact lot of it) teething problems with the software. Have some queries and problems if you can solve it .

                                Queries:

                                1) The indian packing of HD2 has come with 8 GB card. What's the maximum card storage HD2 can hold?
                                2) Do i need to download .net compact framwork or is it preinstalled ? if yes then from where and which version and why is it required.
                                3) Earlier i had a software for Soft Reset, can u provide me with a link or software for HD2 as the soft reset button is given below the battery cover.
                                4) Do i need to put the calender fix update for my version or any other update required. ?
                                5) Do we have a free internet log (usage calculation) software for HD2 as the vodaphone GPRS plans was very costly.
                                6) Earlier (earlier windows mobile version)there was a facility of PIM mirroring where i use to get back the contacts incase of soft or hard reset and also take backup of the data on storage card. Is this both activity possible on HD2 and how ?
                                7) How do i activate "delivery confirmation receipt" in case of message sent on HD2 ?
                                8) Any other utility softwares or good softwares which you would recommed for the HD2?

                                Problems :

                                1) It seems that there is bug or major problem in my handset when it comes to connecting internet. My HD2 connects to internet automatically even though i have closed all the possible automatic connect options in all my applications. Even though after i stop or close my HD2 (by pressing the extrem right button), it connects the internet. Even though i tap on the "data connection" icon in the Wireless control screen, it will reconnect to the internet again.Any fix for the same.

                                Also in all the icons on the "wireless control" screen i have to tap the icons and then stop and start them , nothing happen when i try to start and close by sliding the icons from left to right and vice versa.

                                2) Second big problem which i am facing is that of the title bar. The only thing which happens after i tap anywhere on the title bar is that it takes me to the notification screen showing me 2 options i.e. battery & Operator Signal tap. The issue is that nothing happens when i tap on the volume icon to change the volume or take it to silent or vibrate mode from the volume icon in the title bar.
                                Also i have activated the "show time in title bar" always but it disappears sometimes, i need the time tap in the title bar on an ongoing phone call.

                                  and everything was OK , but after upgrade to new ROM ( on official HTC site ) , I can not do it any more . I can't also move tack manager . I even make hard reset and nada . New ROM 1.48.405.2(71294)
                                  Please help

                                    its a really good phone considering its running windows,... ill take hd2 over n900 just because hd2 fits better in your pocket, and the battery last longer too

                                      Question. I have two 16GB cards (One for muisc and one for movies). My main card in phone will be the music card. That also will have apps stored on it as well. To be able to use the apps on both cards, I just need to mirror the cards (copy same stored apps on both cards, so no matter what card is in the phone, all apps stored to card should work)??????????

                                        I've been looking around trying to find a good price for this phone and the cheapest I've gotten is 610.00 with a renewal contract....anyone found a cheaper price for an unlocked one?
