Just one more thing buddy besides the s2u2 issue in the previous post.
i am upgrading to a 16gb card now ..
do i need to uninstall and reinstall(on new 16gb card) the applications /hotfixes stored on my current 8gb sd card .

currently i see the following in " remove programs "
1) the 3 hotfixes that i downloaded from htc site
2).net 3.5 framework that i synced
3) bsb tweaks
4) skyfire .

    You cant say how awesome this phone by looking at it.U have to use it and feel it.This is the best phone i ever used

      Anthony, 23 Dec 2009This is what I was talking about, when I said many time bef... mores2u2 installation is not giving me a choice on where to save the application.

      when i copy the rar file on the storage card and goto the cab file in it . it starts installing on the storage card automatically . it does not allow me to chose device memory . i want to store the file on the storage card but the application to install on the device memory .

      any reason why its not giving me a choice between device memory and storage memory . (i am not in disk drive mode while installing the cab )

      i installed skyfire on the storage card sucessfully and it gave me a choice between saving it on device or storage mem. but no such choice came up while installing s2u2 ...
      do u think i should copy the cab file on device and run the applicatiction on device as well?

          Now that I have Spb Shell 3.5.2 working on the HD2, I've since changed to using that as my UI (80%). It gives you alot of customization ability (U get a total of 10 screens to customize how you like. I have one just for games and one for apps, etc.) You also can add widgets on Spb Shell as well. HTC Sense UI is good, but you cannot do alot of customization to the home screen. I like the weather app and email and text tabs. Just not alot of customization.

          What UI are you guys using??????????? I found a task switcher app that switch TF3D and Spb Shell. It works GREAT.........

            Judging from previous experiences with HTC quality the HD2 is a great piece of equipment. I love the huge screen size,the big thumb-friendly capacitive touch screen and the ultra fast pendragon processor. The big size yet thin is easy to carry in your shirt or pant pocket and does not feel uncomfortable at all.
            Was reading regarding video playing feature that someone was saying did not have the feature out of the box. I did try playing some videos and yes they play very good; it was a great experience. I have it for about 2 week now and every day I love it more and more.

And play the music as soon as it is done to see if the cashing starts. Play it for about 4 hours or so. Don’t install anything.
                  if the crashing starts back, then take all the music off and put them back on 15 at a time till you can figger out which songs are corrupting the system. For your sake i hope it’s a 3rd party app and it just plays good right after the reset.
                  If all the music went on ok then its time to look at the apps. Install the apps 1 every 3hours or so and use them when installed to see which one causes the crashing.

                    New phone come out so people with different hardware need can have their needs met. They all going to be running the same win mo 6.5 or Android
                    iPhone only has one phone because they don’t believe in giving people what the people want. They are more into telling people want to want and you have to take that. No choice..
                    if my boss wants a phone running the iphone OS with a keyboard because he don’t like touch screen which one does he buy?
                    If my wife wants a phone running the iphone OS but smaller, for when she is going out, which one does she buy?
                    If the man down the road wants a phone with the iphone OS that has a front camera which one does he buy?
                    If you want one slimmer, fatter, taller, shorter, tv out, projector out, PC in, radio, no radio, 3g, no 3g, wi-fi, no wi-fi, fits a certain price range.
                    For all these different people apple says here is the one iphone and we know it is right for you because we have a app for that.
                    If cars were like that Ford, Nissan would only have one model and just upgrade it. Forget the needs of the Driver... sounds like a good plan to you right?

                      Btw, what is the best file structure to use when adding MP3s to the music player?
                      Due to ongoing problems with the HTC player I'm backing up my SDHC card and am about to reformat and reinstall the contents via ActiveSync - but what file structure should I use when returning my 472 MP3s to the storage card? I.e. can I chuck them all in the same folder, so should they be stored under artist/album/song(s)?

                        HI again everyone

                        I was just surfing the net and read about some more upcoming htc devices....passion, dragon, photon....etc

                        what's up with the new devices every few months?? it's so damned annoying. each time i decide on a device a new one is out, and the older ones (a few months prior) get 'old'. looking at the whole picture, apple have the same ONE phone upgraded twice, with skysoaring sales. Why do the other companies make a new model every few months??? I'm feeling like they're devices aren't good enough and they're always trying to make a better one. what's the freakin deal HTC??!!!!

                        Also, someone posted that they're hd2 after just a week started freezing and jamming.....anyone else had this trouble???? honestly...

                          Just in the \windows folder not sub-folder.

                            S2U2 is always running in the background unknowing to you that is why it can lock the screen when the phone goes off. What do you think would happen if you were to put the phone in drive mode (the phone can no longer see the memory card) to copy a file and the screen goes off? Or it was off and you plug it in to your PC to charge but the last mode it was in, was drive mode? Or you took the card out to do something when it was already locked with S2U2?
                            Game and programs that you don’t use all the time, it’s ok to install on a memory card but any thing that run on the phone just like how you breath air, Should not be installed on a memory card.
                            And please don’t mistake what I’m saying… you CAN install it FROM the memory TO internal memory, but DON’T install it FROM the memory card TO the memory card.
                            I hope you understand what the problem is now, so you will know what is best to install to internal memory and what is ok to go on the memory card.

                              Anthony, 23 Dec 2009repeating was grayed out maybe a cab will be made to unlock... moreYeah, I presume HTC had blocked the repeat option which I came across after I was poking around in the All Settings/Sounds & Notifications - Event: Message: New Message folder last night. Hey-ho, let's hope for a solution to that in the near future.

                              Returning to adding Notification sounds (ie new sounds to warn of new email, text msgs, etc) I've added the same file in both WMA and WAV format in C/Windows and also C/Windows/Rings folders. However, when returning to the Notification Sounds list all I can find are the same old, pre-set sounds that came with the phone - the ones I have just added remain unlisted, even after a soft reset... Why is this? As I have added new WMA ringtones and allocated these to certain people in my contact list with success..

                                if i save s2u2 on the storage card will it cause any issues .

                                i installed it on the storage card and went thru the FAQs on the official site . it says "installing on storage card will cause stabilty issues".

                                its running fine for me via the storage card . should i uninstall and reinstall to device memory instead ?

                                      A couple of questions:

                                      1. Is is possible to add new message alert sounds, whether as WMA or WAV files - and if so, in what precise location should they be stored? (So far I've only managed to add new WMA ringtones to the C/Windows/Rings folder, not message sounds for texts and e-mails)

                                      2. Is it possible to change the settings and have a text alert that repeats itself every, say, one or two minutes until you read the message? I've tried (and RTFM, lol) but to no avail.

                                        In any event I'm surprised to hear the problems you've had, as my handset is mostly fine - with the exception of the HTC music player (which I'm informed is due to a babdy-taged or encoded mp3 I've added, so once I've identified the track in question I hope all will be cool)
