www.htc.com
Pick United Kingdom from the country list
Go to the support tab and choose your phone from the drop down list.
And follow the instructions there to download and install all 3 updates.
Install them in order of date (the rom first and so on)
You have no hacking to do for the rom like i did when i wanted to get it before time (before it was on the HTC site) or like the people that want the change there language in there rom.

I have got HD2 2 weeks ago.
But I get problem with HD2 battery life. Only 1 day with normal operation. Do you know where can I have extended battery.

Just saw yr advice re the updated rom that is ... morewhat programs do you get on the O2 rom that you think you will not get on the generic rom. so I can tell you yes/no if the new rom has it or not.
and go to the htc site and put in your s/n and see if it let's you download the rom or not. after all the rom may not even be for O2 phones. start with that then you can wonder if to install it or not.
a next thing that came to mind is how much FREE program & storage memory do you have on the phone? (not the memory card)

Anthony, i kept my promise for u-the first i did with my phone was to took few pictures of my lexus is-250. Well, i still had the pink issue on my pictures, but not as pink as the pictures as u saw on gsm arena. It didnt bother me, this phone rocks, the UI is very responsive, images are brillant and awesome.

So far spec's look very good. Will keep the HD2 until a phone like this comes out in 2010. Looks like this phone will be out when WM7 comes out in late 2010. Looks like this might be the flagship phone for WM7 like HD2 was flagship for WM6.5.......Will keep my eyes open for the Nanami.....

Anthony, 15 Dec 2009the two bugs he was talking about are not bugs. the pic th... moreI never ran quick GPS on the old ROM and never had problems with the weather app. Running quick GPS is not the problem. Also I'm using wallpaper size 1280X1024 and it works fine......

the pic that was coming up in a tile is because he use a pic with a res lower than the phone screen. try it on your phone and see. use a pic that is say 200x200. the phone will shrink a big pic but it will not stretch a small one. and the other one... he installed a new rom and never ran the quick GPS app.

The only thing found is what Vfone is telling its customers (lie). They're trying to sell other phones, because the HD2 is a HOT selling phone.............

Sometimes when I remove the phone from usb connection, my location reads "my location" instead of my actual location (city). When I sync back to my laptop it reads my actual location (city). Don't know why it's doing that????? That didn't happen the the original ROM 1.43.

Just saw yr advice re the updated rom that is now available in the UK (see http://www.htc.com/uk/SupportViewNews.aspx?dl_id=804&news_id=401) so does the UK release mean I no longer need to contact o2 before downloading the new ROM?
Also, what is the best source for the PIM program you mentioned, and will it save any of my current settings (internet faves, facebook contact links, push email account details) or just reset the phone to it's box-fresh status?
Finally, I also note that High Tech reports subsequent problems with the weather app and other features, so may wait to see whats other have to say before considering the United Kingdom 1.48.405.2 ROM update...
