Dear Anthony,
it's Robby the guy from US with the 800$ birthday HTC HD2.
i went to the HTC website and noticed that the ROMs are all in diferent language than English. does that mean that they are not in english and i have to wait until they put an english ROM???!!!
and one more thing how can i know that the HD2 that my cousin is sending for me is from which place and which ROM will be suitable for it???

i thing i gone give up.i have a lot of problem.now finally i installed phm regedit but when im try to get a serial with QMAT my computer close the aplication(maybe i have to buy the licens?)
coz one problem its not enough after i instaled phm regeditor and i conect my phone to computer i cant see it.i can see just like removable disk in diskdrive mode.any sugestion?????

High Tech, 10 Dec 2009Tried to download ROM update but the link is broke. Cannot ... morethe link on the HTC site for the rom is not broken. the rom is only given to you if your s/n is a match for an upgrade.
remember when I said the roms on htcpedia are original but you have to do some tweaking to get it on? well now you know how roms are legally given. your serial has to match the update rom they are giving. even if you get a serial that would let you download it, it still will not install when the rom checks your phone. that is also why the roms will not install when you get it from htcpedia with out the use of a hack.

My uk, o2 supplied, HD2 seems to be one of the lucky ones re thus pink spot issue, as my images have been blemish free.
However, I'm interested in this ROM ugrade and the implications for improving the music player, etc. (see link - http://www.htc.com/europe/SupportViewNews.aspx?dl_id=804&news_id=401 )
Problem is HTC say the upgrade will... "erase any data stored on the device. Once you proceed with the upgrade, the system can not be downgraded again. This is a generic software update. Any additional software or settings provided by your mobile operator or company will be lost. If you require this customization, please contact your supplier first before upgrading..."
:-(
Is it indeed correct that I need to phone o2 before upgrading the ROM (not that they will have a clue as to why I'm calling, their tech "help" is light years before the help I get here!) and that my phone will lose all its nice apps, facebook, twitter and youtube settings and contact details...?

Tried to download ROM update but the link is broke. Cannot download ROM. Tried to download from every dropdown (EU1, EU2, USA, and Asia) couldn't download. Is anyone else having this problem???????? Did download the camera fix, but does this fix the video recording in pink as well???????

anthony, i registered an acct from htc few days ago and i couldnt log in, u know y? i did receive mails from htc..com in my yahoo acct and i also did the activation. but by the time i log in, it says my email acct was not found on their list. anyone help please?

htc finally fixed the pink issue of the htc hd2 and kept their promise to make their customers happy. and i ordered this phone from clove a week ago and still havent receive it, hope to get it in the next couple days.

The most of the "difficult question " what the... morethe solutions to your E card on the HD2 is easy. just copy the link to the card from the email to the address bar of "internet explorer" not Opera.
to copy any text from an email
open it
press and hold till the menu pop up
then pick "make selection"

Anthony, is it safe to upgrade/flash my rom at this point in time? what is the risk involve? i have version 1.43.488.1. i want to remove this pink color every time i take picture. And also the wifi connection get suddenly disconnected when the phone goes to sleep. you made mentioned in your post that these will all disappear with the new rom. is it true?

now that htc has the fix for the camera on there site, there is no reason to change your rom other than if you need to change language.
note: when you are changing roms to get a next language, don't look for an updated rom of what you already have. just download the rom that is in the language you want. then do the hack from the link

i gues thats a lie , what problems if others are selling the phone from 11.2009 (i have it from vodafone Romania and you are from UK ),updates are out, fixing everything, the only problem is for phone4u , they must be out of stock and want to keep you as theirs customer.

Im just wondering, coz today I went to buy a hd2 frm phone4u and sales man says its not available until feb.2010 due to some failure of the phn. he said dat hd2 is not supporting some netwrks and thers problem.. so htc going to fix it and relaunch..
Is this issue is true..???

my original rom was 1.43.409.1 and i updated to ... morelol well why didn't you pick the english europe rom.
go do it over again
this time pick the
Official WM6.5 Updated ROM - HTC HD2 (Leo) - English Europe Version
it is the 2nd one in the list.
let me know if you get through.
