For people that already have this phone and want to get voice dialing on it, I have good news.
It can be installed.
The file you are looking for is "Duttys syberon voice speed dial.cab" can't tell you where to get it now. Because I just installed the one I had from when I was using cooked roms on my HTC TOUCH HD.
What I can say is it was part of the "Dutty's HD WM6.5 Cabs Repository folder R12"

Hi ANTONY .. I sale my touch pro2 and I bought HD2 .. now Iam so sad coz touch pro2 more colors and graphics and waching movies so nice and clear.. I advice everybody DONT GET HD2 until be sure it is WM7 upgradable ...Dont make mistake like me please ....

You can choose between HTC Sense and the Windows Mobile interface. It's part of your Today options under Settings then All settings (press menu button when you are in settings).
Whilst its good to have a "play" with a phone before you buy it hasn't really been possible in my area as none of the shops have it. It did however know the size and specification of the phone so it wasn't a surprose. I find the on-screen keyboard far better than my old Omnia. I don't look for perfection in a phone but my new HTC HD2 does everything I want.

NICK, 20 Nov 2009Ok Anthony...let bygone be bygone. U r the one who started ... morei got my HD2 two days ago. i would like to answer the questions plus the problems i found.
1)it sounds quite huge because of the 4.3 inches screen, but it feels very slim because the thickness.
2) don't know, haven't used HD. what i can say the battery life is OK.
3)sun light legibility is OK. anyway nobody uses it quite much under sun. but it does adjust the screen's light according to the change of ambience, which is very useful.
4)definitely yes.
5)yes. to some extent, even better.
problems that i found:
1)very difficult to find suitable applications at the moment, it would be better in the future.
2)while charging, sometimes the volume of the FM radio is not 'steady'.
3)it did hang several times. i don't if it is because i installed and uninstalled some incompatible applications or something else.

guys a big draw back abt this phone is dat it doesnt have a TV OUT and dats sad coz with such a gud resolution screen they should give that feature, even no vedio call

If and when I buy this phone I will not be using it on any contract so would not want for it to connect to the net automatically. Or have I got this wrong?

please read gsmarenas review before u buy this phone. NO SECONDARY CAMERAA. means u cant do video calls which we already got with normal touch hd. im not buying this phone coz

65K color limitation of display has color gradients banding

No dedicated camera key and no lens cover
No DivX/XviD video support out-of-the-box

For the people that wanted a way to block the 3G,edge or gprs form auto connecting. You can use the program called “HD Tweak”. I have tested it and it works on the HD2 the same way it worked on the HD.
(To get to scroll just press the scroll bar and it will enlargen.)

1)Is it built like tank??
2)Battery life: better than touch hd?
3)Sun light legibility?
4)Speaker sound: is it loud enough to wake u up in the morning as i'm tired of carrying alarm clock when i'm on the move. Iphone's speaker sound is weak.
5)Smooth like iphone on UI? Thx.

got my HD2 today.
testing the keyboard with this text. it works great.and I'm holding the phone and writting only using my right hand. but I'm 6'2". I'll say more about it after I use it some more.

i dont know why you people are saying that the camera is poor. it has one of the best pics and video-recording i have ever done with a mobile.

When I first saw this phone I thought WOW! the ultimate phone wit gr8 screen i was thinkin in terms of media userbility but poor cam,poor video recordin,poor sound, is there a support in browser 4 real flash? Anyway htc r mor business type phones jus thought wit this massive screen best media wud be integrated.Hope x10 dnt disappoint where media is concerned.

This phone is hot! I love it...I wish there was a way to have a display on the screen telling me that I have new messages rather than that little thing at the top of the screen. Same for missed calls....otherwise it works and looks great, very fast. I not getting the HTC sense facebook thing to work quickly thouhg...dunno why. It worked the first day.
