High Tech, 14 Nov 2009Has anyone gotten Sbp Shell 3.5 to work with Sense on the H... moreSbp Shell 3.5 is a UI and Sense is a UI. They were not meant to run at the same time. You can switch between the two, but trying to run both at the same time you will get bugs.
Step on being able to switch.
To be able to switch between them you have to remove the SPB link from the Star-Up folder in the File Explorer.
Once that is done SPB will not auto start with the phone. So now when your phone starts you will see the plain windows mobile 6.5 today screen.
To turn on the spb, just click the Spb Home menu that will show on the right of the windows mobile today screen. And whenever you want to use touchflo just restart the phone and turn on the touchflo from the today screen settings. The touchflo will run every time you restart the phone till you turn it back off in the today screen settings again.
That’s how it worked on the HD and that is how it should work on the HD2

Has anyone gotten Sbp Shell 3.5 to work with Sense on the HD2? It works but with a few bugs. They run together but sometimes it makes Sense UI disappear at times. Then Sense UI will reappear. Last time had to uninstall Spb and reinstall to get them both to work again. When go into the Spb program like favorites and then go back. It goes to Sense UI instead of Spb Home. Has anyone had this problem?? Is anyone running both at the same time???????

I feel sorry for ppl who ask help from you. Its not your fault. Ppl pay their hard earn money on phone like htc hd2 (about $800) and they are right & have a reason to expect that their win mob should work the way they want out of box.

My new hd2 arrived on wednesday so ive had a few days to get to grips with things. Its my first windows fone that ive owned but i have to say that im pretty impressed. the layout of all the icons and the ease of opening apps it good but i found the virtual keyboard to be a bit of a task, maybe its because it my first virtual and ive got to get used to it. speaker sound could have been a bit louder but the none pressence of a screen camera doesnt put this fone down. tried doing a couple of videos mainly mp4 and they all seem to play fine, but i havnt yet found a divx player that works well on this fone, and apparently it doesnt play hidef vids (720) wich is a shame considering the screen size. All in all im buzzing with it and would be gratful to here from anyone with some decent video software ie: divx players etc. Glad we have an iphone rival but microsoft will have to improve there online store quite a bit to compete with apples.

ProjectCM3, 13 Nov 2009Something is bothering me. High Tech: You say that you... moreSome apps tell you to install on the phone memory not because they will not work on the SD card but because they have to be running all the time. From when you turn on the phone to the time you turn it off. You may not see them running but they are there.
.eg “remote tracker” which is used to find your phone if it was stolen. If you where to install it on the SD card and the thief was to remove the card how would it work. Or a 3rd party screen lock.. If the phone locked and you removed/switch the card how will you unlock the phone?
A next simple one is a ring tone; it can be linked to an mp3 on the phone memory or the memory card. But if you have it linked to the memory card and you swap out the card for a next one, what file do you think it will use for the ring tone when the phone rings? So it’s not that installations on the SD will not work, it’s just not smart to install things that run all the time on a SD that you might swap out. Install the programs that you use now and a gain on the SD card, install games that have save points on the SD card. Set the camera, word, excel, e-mail and any other thing like that to save its files to the SD card.
Note:- each program have their independent settings/options.
Another big NO is... don’t install a Driver on the SD because if you remove the card you could freeze the phone.
Note2:- you have 512mb or internal rom to store data/install programs. (I would store nothing here just use the space for installing the things that it would be best to install here and use the SD card to store data or the program installations. (Generally wm programs are not very big)
Note3:- you have 448mb or Ram. All running programs use here no matter if it was installed on the SD or the internal rom. If the free space on the ram drops below 10% you will get lag or even freeze. So to free up ram, when you have finished using a program don’t forget to close it using the Task Manager so you can reclaim your ram. The “X” does not close a program; it just sends it to run in the background. It’s all part of how wm multitasking works.

Hi everybody , sometimes I just wondering how people can be lazy , read instruction and stop to ask stupid question . Regarding the phone the most of function is OK but I am surprise that now one !!! didn't say , how bad is sensitivity of the screen . Gays ( to ho is own HTC and not just dreaming ) did you try to write sum mail or message ? is really painfully and believe me I spend a lot of time with WM phones( please stop to speak about Iphone ) and this one is just a gadget and not a business phone .
If someone have different experience I will happy to know .
