Anyone know if Sprint will be picking up this phone?. I just got the Touch Pro-2 for a few weeks (testing it for 30 days)on Sprint. Not to sure if I was going to keep it and get a 3GS from AT&T. More apps and a lot more fun. If this HD2 comes out I might stick with Sprint.

ProjectCM3, 13 Nov 2009Something is bothering me. High Tech: You say that you... moreYes. Some apps can only be installed to main memory (Spb Shell) and some can be intalled on SD cards (Pocket bible app on main/bibles on SD card). Some apps will tell you they can be only installed on main memory. When you install an app it asks you where do you want to install app (main or SD card). Even if you install apps on SD card some files still will be installed in main memory for the app to work. Same way you install on a PC if you have mutli hard drives. Take Win7 and you have a C and D drive on your PC. You have WinXP on drive C (main drive) and want to install Win7 on D drive. Win7 will install on D drive, but will install files on C drive for it to run, as C drive is your main drive. On your PPC main memory is your main drive of the phone, SD card is second drive.

                  Hope that helps.....

                          Something is bothering me.

                          High Tech:
You say that you can only install Apps on the on-board memory of the HD2...which in return limits (obviously) the amount of Apps one can have.

                          Anthony:
You say that High Tech should just install the Apps on the SD Memory Card...which makes sense.

So, can Apps be installed on the SD Memory Card, as in, say if I wanted to install ALL my Apps on the card, or are there some that can ONLY be installed on the on-board memory, and perhaps do not allow the user to install to a SD Memory Card? Just checking because I haven't yet gotten my HD2, but being limited to only the on-board memory for Apps would rather dissapoint me. And Anthony, as for the htcpedia or xda-forum screen name, I was just wondering because I will most likely have a lot of questions once I get my phone, and I didn't want to post them all on here. It's all good though. Thanks in advance!

CompiGik, 13 Nov 2009 So it has replaced your laptop, but it is not a tablet PC... moreI believe your're confused. WinMo was based off the windows software for your PC. WinMo is taking features from the PC OS and porting to the smart phone platform allowing you to put the laptop or PC affect in the plam of your hand. With WinMo you have a computer in your hands.....No the HD2 is not a netbook. I cannot put a laptop or netbook in my pocket......I still use my laptop on a daily basis, but when I tracel I can leave that at home and use my handheld computer the HD2......I never said it will replace the PC or laptop, but with the HD2 you can bring the PC or laptop to your hand and on the go......

akshat, 13 Nov 2009thank you. would you recommend an hd2 over nokia e75 YES, YES, YES. The HD2 is a very GOOD phone for the moment....Also you will get alot of third party support for updates, and ROM's. I want to be able to refresh my phone to another OS when it comes out (WM7). That's the main reason I purchased the HD2.......

                              Hope this helps......

High Tech, 13 Nov 2009You can put this in your pocket. The phone is not that BIG.... more
So it has replaced your laptop, but it is not a tablet PC, cause it is not big enough.

                                You are so confused!!!

I dont think WinMo can be compared to PC. The power of the PC is too great to be replaced by hardware alone.
If you do not wish to carry your laptop owing to its limited use by limited intelligence that doesnt mean it is the eternal trurth to be accepted by everybody.

YRF, 13 Nov 2009Hey this is actually not the first phone with Snapdragon. ... moreYes the TG01 has a big screen, but the phone never took off (didn't sell well). This phone gives you alot. When WM7 comes out for this phone (from HTC or Xda) that will take this phone to another level. I've invested in the future of this phone for updates and ROM's, not the present.......

Hey this is actually not the first phone with Snapdragon.
The first phone is Toshiba TG01 : WinMo but with lesser RAM and 4.1" display.
And since camera phones are more or less priced by the no. of MPx, TG01 has 3.2MP making it cheaper.
Technically, this phone only gives us Touch Sense with WinMo 6.5 on a 4.3" display that is not already out there.
