Amin, 01 Oct 2011To Anthony, Hello dear Anthony, u asked for my ROM versio... moreOk you have a South East Asia (Asian WWE) ROM
The link below will take you to a XDA page to download it.
It is in the 1.66.xxx.x ROMS: section

When it is downloaded, you should have a 190mb file name...
    -HTC HD2-RUU_Leo_HTC_Asia_WWE_1.66.707.1_Radio_Signed_15.30.50.07U_2.06.51.07_Ship.exe

This is a copy of your original ROM to keep safe on your PC.

                    Hello people,
"mango" is getting interesting. After few days of use i just updated to the official "mango" not much difference or should i say didn't see any difference other than update indicating removal of beta elements b/n official and yuki n xboxmod "back to future" Rom.

Dual booting works fine, call records (history) are intact.

Downside:Most of which you already know
1.battery drain goes up after installing couple of apps
                    2.sometimes video streaming is tricky
                    3.Bluetooth file (sharing)transfer doesn't work
4.you can't easily create folders and save files
5.everything has to be done through zune
6.most winmo apps you love will have to take a vacation.

But you will enjoy it if you install cab fixes and partition the SD.

Like I always say, a break from the all too routine and start menu presentations.

Anthony, shall i say you prophesised well WINDOWS PHONE "OS" will mature in WINDOWS PHONE 8.

For the users that have used the transcriber input that was in past window versions.
You will be happy to know that it is also in this version just hidden in some ROMs.
You can make a shortcut to in the start menu by opening the file explore on the phone and go to
My Device>Windows and tap and hold on the “Transcriber” file. Pick “copy” from the popup menu. Then go to…
My Device> Windows> Start Menu> Programs. And tap on “Menu” “Paste Shortcut”
Rename the shortcut if you like.

That’s it you now have transcriber input to use with your fingers or capacitive pen.

Amin, 20 Sep 2011To Anthony: hello Anthony.first of all i wanna thank u for... moreI don’t see anything wrong with giving them both a try. Who knows, it could help you decide what OS phone you will go with next when you are ready to replace your HD2.
I have tried both Android and WP7 but in the end I had to come back to WM for everyday productivity. But don’t make your judgment based on my needs because what you are looking for may be different from me.

                                  You have 3 options…
                                  1. Android (SD) your phone runs Android from the SD and window stays on your ROM hardware, making you phone dual-boot. Note: Android dose not run its best this way but you still get to use WM. This is how I have my phone now.
                                  2. Android (NAMD) your phone runs Android from the ROM hardware. This is the best way to experience Android but only have Android on the phone as WM is replaced.
                                  3. WP7 (NAND) your phone runs WP7 from the ROM hardware. This is the only way to experience WP7 and you will only have WP7 as WM is replaced.

All 3 options can be reversed. By installing your original ROM from a copy you keep on your PC.

Original ROMs are not cloned from your phone; instead you download them from the web and reinstall them on your ROM hardware. Think of it as a window installation CD.

                                  Now for the bad news.
Until recently you could just go to the HTC web page and download your ROM for free using your phone serial number. But now that I am looking at the new page layout, I do not see an option to do that anymore.

The good News many people have posted HD2 original ROMs all over the internet so it maybe possible to get it from a next site.
I just need to know your full ROM version # so I can help you look for it.

Become a member of the XDA developers because most likely that’s where you going to have to get any ROM you want.

Any questions about what I posted feel free to ask.

                                    To Anthony:
hello Anthony.first of all i wanna thank u for being such a good help for Hd2 years for a long time.i have a question and i thought u r the most reliable source.
i wanted to know if u recommend installing android or win 7 Mango on HD2.if yea is there a way to keep the original ROM intact so that we could get back to it in case the cooked ROMs got too many bugs?
it would be really cool of u to post a link to a site that provides cooked ROMs in dual boot(so that we can keep the original rom) mode.
                                    thank u.

Digital Love, 16 Sep 2011hi anthony, thnx for the information, have 1 more question,... moreI don’t know because I don’t have an android phone.
I do now you can change the U.I. by rooting your phone and changing the launcher.
But I can’t tell you where to get the HTC Sense 3.1 launcher from because I just don’t know.
