Anonymous, 05 Nov 2009I also have the Omnia 2 and am having problems with it. How... moreMy Omnia 2 works just fine no problems. The reason why I purchased the HD2 is because of developer support and it can run WN7. Also HD2 is the better phone of the two. Has most of the features I need in a phone.

Guys..., 05 Nov 2009About this comment: '1)NO video call 2)NO TV-out 3)N... morewow, u must spend alot of time writing this comment down, but wat i want to tell you is no phones are perfect, same as human being, no body is perfect, same as phones. But wat human do is to learn more, study more, experience more, and create more to improve their knowledges. Every one must have their advantages and disadvantages just like phones it has good sides and bad sides, of course we all have more good things than bad things and more happyness than sadness everyday. So you wont see a perfect phone nor a perfect human in ur life, but wat u will see is better phones and better phones days after days after days are going to release in the market, just pick the right phone that is suitable for u! Xd good luck

Anthony, 05 Nov 2009I like your questions. It help me show how much people real... moreThanks for your replies, you and High Tech.
As I said, I really am a noob, I know next to nothing about WinMo, and I'm learning much through you guys.
I didn't know about the skype app not being able to video call. I think it's kinda sad, since one would think this phone's specs are enough to handle video call. Maybe someday...
But in the end, it makes me really have no second thoughts about buying this phone, since it's the only thing I would have used the secondary camera for.
As for the third party media players, I assumed they should exist but googling it I couldn't find anything. I still have a lot to learn it seems...
In the end, I guess the only concern about this phone is about the battery. Let's hope HTC is not being too optimistic in their specs.
I'm planning to buy the HD2 with a plan from a french operator. What features are they likely to block in their ROM in your opinions? Would it be much better to buy it from a third-party retailer with the original ROM? (Being a noob and all, I'm not sure about flashing the ROM, unless it's for WinMo 7 I guess)
Thanks again, looking forward to reading the very first reviews by actual users...

Finally, I've decided and pre-ordered HD2.
Waited & waited for Nokia N900 & got tired of it.
I am an Iphone 2G owner & I am used to capacitive screen, virtual keyboard & virtual stuff. I'll use this phone as my main media player & I hope that audio performance is good enough.
I would like to hear from some people that used HD2 about audio performance???
Also, I will use full Active Sync for the first time on my mobile. Good bye crippled Active Sync like Iphone's, Road Sync & Mail for Exchange.

High Tech, 05 Nov 2009Ordered this and waiting to get next week. This is the best... moreI also have the Omnia 2 and am having problems with it. How does HD compare in terms of smoothness, and functions? Omnia will not send emails which is a real pain. I need office, and a good camera. AS you have both handsets can you enlighten me further on the merits of the HD which you seem to prefer?
Thanks

Ordered this and waiting to get next week. This is the best phone to date no question. I also have the Omnia 2 which is a Great phone as well, but the HD2 is better right now. People talk about what this phone doesn't have, but tell what phone has everything you want. NONE!!!! If this phone meets your need buy it, if not buy the phone that fit your needs, don't bash the HD2. In the end the HD2 Right now is the best hands down.
When WM7 comes out next year, I'm sure another phone will come out better than the HD2. A year after that another phone will come out. It's just the way of the world. No phone you will keep for life. I plan on keeping the HD2 until a phone comes out to meet my needs. The things I want is 1080P recording and viewing for movies. I use that at home with my Blu-ray player and HD TV's. Also want internal storage of at least 64GB to 128GB. Until then the HD2 will DO!!!!
Will keep my Omnia 2 for music and TV out function when I need it. Tried the TV out last night just to see, and IT Looked Great!!!

why are all the good phones not available in the 850Mhz - the only frickin 3G frequency(so far) in canada???the whole country!! eg; N900, Droid, HTC HD2.
Im sure it has to do with someone not making enough profit to bother!! lets make canada's 3G frequency 2100!!!

Guys..., 05 Nov 2009About this comment: '1)NO video call 2)NO TV-out 3)N... morehaha, love ur comment but u forgot a few things, 1) it DOES have a digital compass (its one of its selling points) 2) the speaker is great! HD had a great speaker and i dont expect this one to be any less. 3) lets not forget all the features this phone has that no other phone does, not gonna mention them, too many to list. i just pity the fools who cant afford this beauty and complian by bashing. me, i will enjoy it to the max once i own it.

Anonymous, 05 Nov 2009where is the tv tuner pal / ntsc like chinese phones or dv... moreTo Sa%D aka Anonymous... It is in china where it is supported ….
AT&T don’t even have good 3G you want to add TV and more to there headache?
You buy the Chinese phone if you like them so much. And leave to other phones to the people that want them because it has what they need.
What phone do you use now, can you answer that?
