People are saying what this phone is missing. This phone was designed for the business user in mind. They don't use video calling alot or ever? I saw a review on who HTC is realy targeting (Business User) for this phone. This phone is Great for business use... This phone is just what the business user needs (edit doc, take pictures, stay connect to office, clients, send pictures to family, connect to social net works after hours or during work hrs, listen to music, and view movies on the go. Now you can leave the laptop at work or home. Now a second version will be out next year for the casual user that may have the second video camera and other features for the casual user????

For me there is a big difference between resistive and capacitive. If you have an iPhone and a N97, you'll know what I'm saying.

5 MP is decent enough. iPhone is going to look really stupid. I love apple but NO FLASH makes me sick. For bloody sake, put a FLASH in the iphone.

I really loved my iPhone but after I seen this, my mind changed. HTC HD2 is the best phone YET.

But still I'm anticipating an iPhone with a Flash. iphone 3GF (flash).

I am struggling to make a decision. E72 or HD2?

My current phone is the E71. It is easily the best phone I have had. I have some great apps on it (conversations, garmin mobile xt, shazam). Also very pleased with outlook integration and intuitive interface. What you guys think - reasons for moving to HTC? What's the Windows Marketplace like? Hd2 too big?

When you install apps it gives you three options to store file 1.) Main 2.) My storage (internal HD) and 3.) Storage card. I have apps stored on Main and My storage. No reason to store apps on storage card you have plenty space on main and My storage for files unless you tons of apps to install.

This phone looks really awesome, imho the best phone (almost) available on the market, and by far.
Like Anthony (and many more it seems), I do wish there were a sec cam though, not for taking pictures of myself but for video calling on Skype when connected to Wifi.

As for the specs, I have a few questions though, mostly directed to those knowledgeable guys who hang out here :

1/ I read feedback from users of Omnia II who quickly maxed out their internal memory by installing apps. It seems that this phone can't install apps on the external SD card, nor launch apps from the memory card. So these guys were pretty pissed, which I can understand.
I assume the same thing just can't be true with the HD2. Since it has almost no internal memory at all, that would mean having a smartphone but being unable to install any third party apps. Could anyone confirm that it is possible on the HD2 ?

2/ The specs on this site say the HD2 reads DivX/XVid encoded videos. On the official HTC site, it just says ".avi". It is an assumption from gsmarena or is there evidence that DivX is supported? It just seems weird to me that if HTC includes the codecs in this phone, they don't communicate more clearly about it, as Samsung did when then started to include the codecs in their phones (with the Jet, as far as I know)

3/ To Devil666 : I'm pretty much a noob, so I'd be glad if you could explain to me how "real" multipoint is better than the multipoint brought by HTC Sense. I could understand the concern the multipoint might not be as smoother if integrated to the OS rather than to the manufacturer's UI, but from the videos available on the net that we all saw, smoothness doesn't really seem to be a problem to the HD2.

Now that X10 has been announced I know the only option I have is HD2. First I don't care about the MP difference of the cameras as I don't really care about cameras at all! Second HD2 will be released at least 4 month before X10 and all the previews show that it's wonderful smooth one. X10 might not be released as they've promised, also it will definitely cost more than HD2. Apart from WinMo disadvantage, my only complain is lack of OLED display, but I can live with that. Bye SE! Hi HTC!

Anonymous, 04 Nov 2009Such an awesome phone. With multi-touch, 4.3" screen, 1GHz ... moreSo you really prefer to have Android instead of WinMo and stick to other phones (like newly announce joke, X10) and forget how many thing you could have with HD2? If you want to compromise I guess the best way is sticking to HD2. At the moment there's no competitor, maybe in next couple of month, but not now, and this will be released soon...

Such an awesome phone. With multi-touch, 4.3" screen, 1GHz processor, and a lot more but windows mobile completely RUINED this phone!! It would have been the best phone! But its all wasted...

i also got nothing against snapdragon, I just don't like Qualcomm!
If u look carefully at the "videos", it actually got front camera (unlike HD2), and the white circle is Flash!
It also got a powerfull "Infinite Button"!...

One thing I don’t get the spec said it had a flash for the camera but the picture shows a portrait mirror no flash.

As for Devil666 do you hate this phone as well????
                                        1.It only has 262k colours not 16m
2.it also has no front camera for video calls
3.The radio is in the optional headset not the phone or the headset the phone is coming with.
4.The CPU is the same as the HD2 you don’t like.
5.And the interface moves slow link mud
6.Timescape and mediascape is just like touchflo 3D aka sense UI… the contacts in it works the same way just looks different. (when you open a contact you get the same all the text, email facebook updates and call log info. So you don’t even have to use the email, sms tabs in sense main screen if you don’t want to. So does the picture album for online facebook and local shot. I have been doing the stuff showen in the timescape vedio and mediascape video on my HTC Touch HD using the Leo r5 test interface. And it did not run as slow as this X10 phone.

                                        Devil666 say something.
