Curiosity got the better of me and I installed WP7 mango on my phone.
But it’s no go if you can’t activate a live ID to use most of the apps
I already have a live ID but I can’t get it working with this OS.
I found the imgfs2part tool file but I don’t know what to do with it.
Can any one help me before I just switch back to WM6.5 ?
Bty my 16gb card did not work but the 2gb the phone came with did.

Wondering Whatsapp application from Android market would be supported by HD2?

Disk drive mode can only allows you to access your SD from a PC
But active sync mode allows you to access both your SD card and your ROM chip from a PC.
Now ask yourself this…. Where do I have to install, what I am trying to install? Thinking about that question will most of the time will help you decide which mode you need to use.
Note: it’s called “active sync mode” because it needs a program called “activesync” to be installed on your PC for it to work. Funny thing is activesync is only for windows XP. What you need for a PC with vista or 7 is a program called WMDC Windows Mobile Device Center.
By the way could you give this version of WP7 a try because the version I tried for my friend from “Amoah” was not unlocked for Market place.

I mean 3hrs of video streaming is good enough cos you're almost using all radios not to talk of the 4.3 display power consumption. If you still want to make a switch, Nokia has better battery life but you'll soon get bored with their " OS". My opinion.

HOLD UP
That’s not the windows boot loader or the MAGLDR boot loader.
A boot loader is what LOADS the OS at BOOTup.
That is the “Connect to PC” menu in windows you are describing, which means you are already booted into the OS and past the point to access the boot loader.
I gave 3 steps below to installing WP7 which step are you on?
By the way have you ever updated a ROM on a HTC phone before?

Hi peeps, contemplating selling of my HD2 cos the battery cant take me more than 3 hours of video playback. cant it be better? how long does your own take you?

3.14 has the correct radio but….
1. You have to unlock your SPL by installing HSPL2 or 3 first. (Sometimes you have to downgrade your ROM to do this, and then upgrade it after to get back the radio from 3.14)
2. Then you have to install MAGLDR 1.13 to have a boot loader for a NAND WP7 or Android.
3. Then use the MAGLDR boot loader to install WP7

its a very gud phone u should grab it ,i have a small crak on my screen but it gives me the best performance.
keep it up htc .
htc pls look for better tech that hanset should not be hot while using net

my problem iz this hd2 iz falling down its signal of any connection..i change my connection,renew sim...but no change..installed winndows then endroid ........

Forgot to mention,I couldn't get bluetooth to work though bluetooth works in the original DFT & NoDo versions according to the reviews on those versions.
Marketplace works.
