Have been using this phone for about 1 month now and so far it has been a good experience using it. It's more or less quite smooth in terms of the system running just perhaps a few hiccups here and there.
My only complaint is probably the battery life. I had just fully charged it about 2 hrs back, and it had dropped to 1/4 of its batt life. I was sms-ing for about 20min non-stop with my data connection on and ~4 applications running in the bg.
Other than that, it is a great phone. Love the user friendliness (:

AnonD-37977, 13 Jan 2012i got the htc hd7 last nov 2011, my 1st wp phone. pros: ve... moreyes I agree its a great phone and honestly saying I am having a great battery life with it, I have 3 personal emails, 1 yahoo, 1 gmail and 1 hotmail email set on it and due to my business I have to receive and make calls many times a day and have not seen any battery cons. The same battery 1230MAH is on HTC Desire HD (Android) and that is very poor battery life and that is due to android. Windows phone takes battery very nice and its basically a simple but smart phone for specially for grown ups and business people. HTC gives a great camera in HD7 a good 8/16GB sotrage with HTC hub and except camera and price you will not find any great difference in HD7 and Nokia I say you stay on HTC.

HD7 Droid, your friend was cheated. This is a Chinese fake HTC HD7 clone which runs android. It's called HD7+ or HERO H7300. It's not a bad phone but definitively it is not an HTC phone. a friend of mine has a HTC HD7 from a trip in the usa. when he unboxed it it is a htc hd7 running android 2.3.7 and on the back battery cover it says android.
i was wondering how in the world this is possible..

i got the htc hd7 last nov 2011, my 1st wp phone.
pros: very stable OS, no crashes and lags. very intuitive "metro" style ui. solid build, large screen. excellent integration of social apps into the phone.
cons:below ave battery life, poor loudspeaker, OS does not have much customization options...
overall a good wp phone so if you are sick from all the crashes and rebooting and "taking the battery off to restart my phone" deal, maybe wp is for you, cant wait for the nokia lumia 900 ^_^

AnonD-36222, 31 Dec 2011phone itself is ok just having major problems connecting to... moretype: "certmgr.msc" in search programs and files. then click on it. then goto certificates at the top and click that and remove zune cert.then close window start zune. connect phone and wait until it sees your phone. it worked for me.hope this helps. ps it does take time perserverance i had to repeat it a couple of times for it to see my phone.good luck

jhon, 27 Dec 2011someone pls tell me about the battery lifeThe battery life is 15-16 hours with 2g & data connection on. with 3g and data connection and continuous accounts (three accounts- live, facebook and twitter) sincing in the background, it may be 10-12 hours. This is based on my experience. Mine is updated to 7740 mango and the battery life depends on signal strength also.
