I'm from Israel and acquired htc hd7 I wanted to know how... moreHello...my friend, you must download in your pc a program name it zune. Hd7 you can not use it as mass storage device, so the only way is to use zune, wich one is dificult and not very useful, since you can only upload videos, music or photos.
For games you have to go to market place in your phone or to xbox app, you must know that in market place you dont have a lot to download in this moment and free apps are very simple and few available...

device only supports wma ringtones. no mp3 ringtones.

Bad thing is you cant have custom ring tone or there is literally no background.

When HTC HD7 was released last year I was skeptical about the unit due to a lot of limitations that some reviewers have mentioned. But only recently I gave a try to have one and here are my comments
1. After the latest update for March 2011, I find HTC HD7 a fantastic phone.. for the purpose of internet browsing and multimedia like music and video.
2. Photos are taken decently but not as good as iphone 4 or xperia arc, but I would way good enough.
3. LAck of application for social network like facebook and twitter.. but the IE can do the job.
4. Unit hardware-wise is one of the best, same level as iphone 4 but at par compare with Samsung ones..
5. Screen response is awesome..
6. I have a 16G version and for me thats enough.
7. As of now price is decreased and more affordable.
8. FInally, I am hoping that Microsoft will be releasing more updates to enhance the usability and performance of this machine.

Before you buy a phone do some research it will help in making sure the functions your require are there. BTW it is still a good phone with features and apps being delivered on a regular time frame.

is there anyone here knows if microsoft is doing something regarding updating the windowsphone7?i know Nodu is already out but its just for the copy/paste and some system optimization. Is there any news regarding updates on the fuctionality(bluetooth file transfer/drag and drop)...i love the OS but the restriction sucks like iOS...i am thinking of going android but not that stable OS(in terms of performance) and i hate the design of the UI :) hope MS is reading this...please MS...please prioritize bluetooth file transfer and drag and drop.....

Good lord I what read is all a bunch a crackheads NOOBS!!! whining everyday. Give the damn OS space to breath and to grow, Like u all did with iOS for christ sakes! by now all T-mobile branded unlocked or not should have gotten the update.

This phone is very essential to those music lovers because of SRS and dolby mobile. However it relies only to it's internal memory and it doesn't have a card slot. Well that is a bad news. But somehow the rest of the phone's features are good. Wonder if what phone that suits to me?

Having upgraded finally from my xda mini s on wm5 i am deeply disappointed with the HD7.
I expected it would be able to perform the same tasks as my wm5 and a whole lot more. Instead I find that there is no rdp client,inaccesible storage, no outlook sync, inadequate battery,and the work that i wish to have on the phone must be uploaded to windows live/office hub so that i can download to my phone (which is usb connected to the pc containing the 2GB of office docs I have)
On the entertainment side, i'm playing a movie (mp4) in Zune but it doesn't show in collections and therefore can't sync to HD7, btw it's only an mp4 because there is no support for divx.
This isn't sour grapes, I'm an avid microsft man (MCT), but sometimes they do get it wrong this is closer to being a windows iphone than a serious business/entertainment device.

Anonymous, 03 Apr 2011 Just bought 1 yesterday . after full charge this morning a... moreMy friend, you can try this: Close wifi if not in use, also close bluetooth if not in use too, if you dont need a high bright screen is better to use it low...this are very simple tips, but you must know this phone dont have a good battery life....and i think you just start with a road of pain with this phone i can tell you because i have one...you will find by your self how bad job microsoft and htc did with this phone...

Just bought 1 yesterday . after full charge this morning at 7am and made few calls ( 2 to 5 minutes per call)the low batt alert appear at 8pm juswt now.pls advise.
