Could anyone help solve these to issues with HTC HD7:
1.Cannot hear a call on the HD7 after I answer it. It rings ok and after I answer cannot hear anything.
2.How to use MP3 as a ring tone on HD7?
Please help anyone.

At the person who is torn between hd7 and desire HD.I actually own both devices.As far as the HD7 I was blown away by the Snappy UI.It dosent have that many apps in the marketplace but a majority of them are free now and very useful.You hardly notice its only 5k in the app store i wanna download all of them. and the apps itself are alot of eye candy to work with.My desire HD is alot of fun as well it has a camera thats the best in its class.The app store for the android is crazy huge.I enjoy them both equally.I must give desire hd a 10 out of 10 for great camera and app store.I wud give the HD7 a very respectful 8/9 out of 10 for poor camera yet way more responsive than the Desire.The big question which do i use everyday?I use my HD7. I'm a social networking junkie and it's just so much prettier/Fun looking on my HD7.Compare facebook android to facebook WP7 and you will know exactly what i mean.

yes, you'll void the warranty as when you flash the phone for example but it's possible and works normally with 32 GB micro-sd card.

Guys please help me, I am confused between HTC Desire HD adn HTC HD 7/
Which one is better? I have read GSM Arena reveiw and they say that HD7 lacks lot of necesaary features like Bluetooth flie transfer, File manager and others.. Sud I go for it ro shud I go for HTC Desire HD or DELL Streak?

The HD7 has no card slot for any kind of USER removable memory.
In the tutorial you clearly see that doing the upgrade is a violation of your warranty as you have to take apart the phone.
But I see where I made my mistake.
In point “2” I should have said RAID 0 (not RAID 1…my mistake)
That is why you have to use a class 2 Sandick card.
That is the only way the RAID 0 will work with the internal memory that is built into the phone.
If you don’t know what a RAID 0 is or how it works just google it.

it has a normal micro SD card added and not flash chip mounted directly on the circuit board like samsung and apple phones (for information, apple's flash ships are made by samsung)
You can find how to do it on XDA developers website ,there's a step by step turorial on how to do it.
But you'll definetely void your warranty!

But you can’t run Android on the HD7.
Don’t make the mistake to think that the HD7 and the HD2 is the same thing.
1. HD7 is running the “WP” OS and the HD2 is running the “WM” OS
2. Storage formatting standard for the WP OS is similar to a NTFS RAID 1 but the WP OS uses FAT32.
3. The is no SD card for the HD7, so you can’t boot Android from a SD card on a HD7
4. If you are thinking you can install“NAND” Android ROMs to the internal space…. To date there is no HSPL for the HD7, so how the hell would you get the ROM past the WP ROMs digital signature test?

yes you can install android (even on HD2 you can do that) but it will operate as 2nd OS with 2 boot options. go to htcpedia.com for more details.
