Is this phone beter then HTC Desire HD?
They are very similar and in my opinion android is better at the moment, but I think win7 has a potencial to be beter....

Like other WP7 devices, is there a logical reason why the HD7 does not have a card slot or support tethering? Wanted the extra storage for our CRM data and tethering for valid business reasons but unfortunately for MS the firm is now looking at the BB Torch for their staff. Pity as I wanted the HD7 when available. I suspect MS will eventually address some of the WP7 short comings with future OS updates but omitting card slot & tethering with the initial release businesses are now questioning - Why Microsoft. It was silly pandering to the consumer market and forgetting the needs for business.

I wish people would stop stating "iPhone Killer". I am hearing this about almost EVERY damn phone that comes out that is not an iPhone. There is and will NEVER be an iPhone Killer. People need to stop comparing apples to oranges (no pun intended).
Don't get me wrong, I do not like Apple, never have never will.

This is gonna be an iPhone killer!! Just give it a year for the Marketplace to catch up to the AppStore. Remember what the Xbox did to the PS2. WMP7 has way to many beniefets over any other phone operating system out there. And always will. Apple can not compete with the online gaming and Android can not compete with Zune.

ive had the htc hd7 since 21st. i was the first customer to get it from o2 in huntingdon.
its fantastic i gave my iphone 4 to my wife its that good the ui is very smooth

even... moreGuys, the new windows mobile 7 is not an upgrade from windows mobile 6.5
It’s the first of a new OS from Microsoft; don’t let the 7 in the name confuse you.
If you remember, the first “I”OS and the first Android OS both were crap when they just came out but that didn’t stop people from buying them. And they did come out with newer versions of their OS that now are much better. The new Windows Phone OS is no different. People will still buy it because they want to have the first and there are going to have newer versions to this OS that will be better later on.
To the Users of WinMo 6.5 especially the HTC HD2 users. Your phone may seem better now and I will have to agree, but remember this... the old code used in WinMo all the way up to 6.5 had limitations that Microsoft can deal with now in this new OS code.
1. Do you remember your WinMo OS does not support 16M color? Well the WP OS does not have that problem.
2. Do you know that the WinMo OS has to have the internal storage memory, program memory and its ROMs all on the same ROM. That is what causes your phone to slow down and even crash so much when you leave less than 10% of the total ROM space free in the storage memory space.
Well this is not a problem in the WP OS. The program memory and the storage memory, no longer need to be on the same ROM, so lag and crashing from low free internal storage space is not going to be a problem of the WP OS.
3. How many times have you downloaded a program for windows mobile 6.5 or any windows Mobile OS and then find out that it is not compatible with your hardware? This is a major problem for programmers and you the user...... this is not going to be a problem with windows phone OS because Microsoft has required that all phones have the same internal hardware if they want to use the OS, so the difference between mobiles are more or less cosmetic. When a Windows Phone OS upgrade version comes out if the hardware spec increase it will increase on all the phones that are going to come with it, not just some of the phones like what have been going on in the windows Mobile OS.
I don’t give any HD2 windows mobile user wrong for not wanting to switch to the NEW windows phone OS, as it is a new born in comparison to your adult Hi end phone., but just remember windows mobile is maxed out in taking advantage of new hardware technology but windows phone OS will not remain a new born forever and its going to grow and be able to do move with every new version like all new Smartphone OS.
