There is already a huge number of phones that have surpassed iphone... in so many ways and by a long, long, long shot... They don't need to be "iphone/killers"; they just need to have better specs, period. iphone is a fad! Too many let-downs, too many upgrades too soon and way too many dissappointed customers... (i.e. iphone 2g customers)... So do us a favor; check other options that do not have an apple in the back and you will get an idea!

Android was recently OS. It will improve in time and will be much better. The chin of the phone is like that so that your mouth will be closer so that you can speak through it more clearly. I believe its pretty sexy. It is a bit thick and lacks flash for camera though. Pretty good phone. I would stick with g1 though.

WinMo, Android, Iphone are 3 totally different OS, its not fair to compare them.
WinMo will always be the best business smartphone, if you think they are going to disappear or die off, i think you are very naive.
Iphone is a fun, cool fashion phone, it still got lots of limitation, its not perfect yet.
Android on the other hand, represents limitless possibility. It is still in its youth, still got lots to do, but the potential is there. Although they got Google as its backing, i dont think it will replace any phone even in future, maybe they will get bigger portion of the pie, thats it.
Different people got different requirements, its a bit sick and naive to start saying things about the OS or phones you dont like. Rather, constructive comments should be more welcome.

I am trying to decide whether I should go for the iPhone 3GS, the HTC Hero, or the Palm Pre.
When I get back from South Africa I'm going to compare this phone to the iPhone 3gS, which I'm familiar with, having owned an iPhone 3g.

I have just pre-ordered this phone here in the UK for £399.99. It says I'll receive it July 27th which isn't far off the previously announced release date of July 15th. I cannot wait to get my hands on this phone, I will update you on just how great this phone is when I receive it.

You just sound like all the other iSheep out there. WinMo is going nowhere and why on earth would a developer use a cpu hungry OS like XP on a mobile device rather than a tailer made OS like WinMo?
First of all, iPhone and WinMo are two entirely different products. One is for the general consumer who just wants a cool sexy phone and the other is for more complex applications and or networking.
I don't rate the iPhone and I've had one. It's nice, cute and sexy but at the end of the day, it doesn't multitask, the bluetoothery majiggery is completely nonsense and works with NOTHING and the camera on an iPhone (new one included) is crap.
Android on the other hand, whilst not quite there yet, will enherit the earth. All they need to do is improve the rubbish email which I believe they will!

It is difficult to differentiate between HTC Hero, Diamong 2, and Magic. More or less they come with same specification. Touch screen is not user friendly as like iPhone.

iphone killer ? :)) haha they been trying to kill iphone for over 2 years now :)) they are all junk... android 3rd app market does not exist, winmo 3rd party apps are too old and too vintage... nothing new there for years (i'm a winmo programmer / software seller) ... but with iphone ... you can find any app from any other OS like winmo or symbian but with much better design or interface. Overall i think iphone is the best smartphone and those who are saying bad stuff about iphones is because they never had one and they have no idea how easy is to use them and how powerful they are as smartphones. Winmo its nice but like i said its going to die soon... because no one is making app for it anymore... i heard unofficial rumors at htc that winmo is going to die and they will move to windows xp in the next year. And android is like palm.. just smoking mirros.. this will see how it goes.. but i dont think it will have a long life... and it will end up like symbian uiq from sony ericsson - DEAD

I think that Android is growing super fast and at the end it will take over Apple. Just look at how big Google is now, and Google maps.
