I have put in my weather location for ... moreGo into ure menue so u can see all your applications, click weather, scroll to the weather location that u do not want
, click menu and it should say delete. u can only do this by going in the menu, then weather, if u go to weather on your home screen as a short cut, it will not work.

How to update hero form 1.5 to 2.1
First change your date to 2011-01-22 and then try update your phone. it's download new software and install. it's about 5min for all this.

I have put in my weather location for the homescreen but it keeps coming up as a previous setting which is no where near me

there is no any disadvantage of rooting. also, there is no any special custom room that you can call it "the best". visit xda developers forum and find what you like. I use this one "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=730473" and it's ok.

Hey guys i wanted to know that what are the disadvantages of rooting and i want to install custom rom what is the best custom rom? And i also want to update to 2.1 so is it necessary after custom rom installation? And also which one is more important rom, rooting or updating?

A really nice phone that you can easily customize to fit your own needs and style. Call quality is good, texting takes a short while to get accustomed to, internet browsing is fairly smooth and enjoyable. If you can deal with the cam lacking a flash, and shelling out about 500-600 dollars, you should seriously consider this phone.

if you're already on 2.1 and can't send/receive files via BT.. then just download astro bluetooth from the market.
It solved my problem.

Bluetooth issue, i can send and recieve files via bluetooth from my hero to my laptop with portable toshiba bluetooth, but i cannot connect this phones bluetooth to any other phone, never tried htc to htc though, coz i got no friends with htc unit. But my stereo bluetooth earphone is perfectly fine.

Im actually commenting this on my htc hero right now.. I gotta say I'm really lovingthis phone. I've had it for about a year now and everything about it is just great. the reason I chose this over other phone was because is the simplicity of the UI. my only, only complain is the specs. it is a good device by itself, but in my opinion, rooting(jail breaking) this phone makes it more fun. there are many different roms you can load it onto HTC hero. my complain about the spec is that since the hero's specs aren't as good as the Phones today, like the 1Ghz processor is hard to enjoy a lot of the newer feathers the newer phone have. over all I'm very pleased with this phone and i'm sure whoever buys it will too.
one more thing, I believe the iPhone is WAY over rated. after all the wait Apple only changed so much with the iPhone 4.... sigh... hahah

One of the best fones ever, my 5yr old daughter can operate easily n even my 62yr old mom can use it the same, I wuld recomend this fone to every body who's planing to by iphone

I think the htc hero is the best phone out there.. it is much better than the iphone that my cousin has! I would definately recommend this phone!
