mamad, 22 Jul 2010hi ;i want to buy a cellphone do you think i should buy her... morehero's price should have dropped now ( i got it for 300$), i'd say go for the hero as it uses android with user friendliness and plenty of apps,, the screen is quite responssive, User Interface speed is very good, gps reciever very good as well,, unless u want a camera phone coz the camera on hero is not that great, vivaz has a better cam and screen and a faster cpu, but i'd take an android phone over a symbian anytime,,,

UK customers buy refurbished hero at three.co.uk. It is only 160pounds including 10pounds credit. Can use with other sim card using rebel sim card

i Have A HTC Hero. It's Great, but The Only Downer Is That I Had To Download A App To Let Me Send A Recieve Media Items Form Other Phones.. Apart Form That Its Very Very Cool. :)

i have a htc hero. i purchased it from the black market. so i dont know the origin of my hero. i want to know how to get the android 2.1 update. i contacted htc customer care in india but they told that the deivce is not purchased from india so i cant get the update in india. so how should i get the 2.1 update?? pls help!!

Hi all,
Was facing a battery back up problem due to excess talktime....however now one can get a 2200mah battery with back cover on ebay that gives double the talktime. the fone gets thicker but looks alright. It is too good and dont think will change it for a long time now.
Upgraded the version to 2.1 makes it even better.

To connect it to your laptop, use your data cable then drag down the notification bar, choose mount if you wanna use SD card, or if you wanna connect to the internet, go to settings - wireless controls and then click on share internet connection

V, 09 Jul 2010which is better,hero or legend?? reply please... wanna bu... moreI would say Legend. As this comes with Android 2.1, LED Flash, FM radio and OMLED screen. Apart from these the Legend metallic body looks cool and its lighter than Hero. When Hero gets matured, it becomes Legend :-)

hello good people, I tried updating to version 2.1 by changing my date but nothing is coming up. I'm in Nigeria, could it be that it can not be done in Africa.
my second question is how do I connect this phone to my laptop, so as to use it as a modem. Thank u all.

V, 09 Jul 2010which is better,hero or legend?? reply please... wanna bu... morelegend is almost the same as hero + a bit speedier cpu + a bit bigger ram + flash, but HTC will not upgrade hero to foryo 2.2 which is 4-6 times speedier than eclair 2.1 (hero got eclair 2.1 last month),, if u want u can get hero for half legend's price and later-on get an unofficial froyo rom for hero from the xda developers,,,

U can also check teh upgrade availability from ur phone. Go to Settings -->about phone --> software updates ---> check now

Hi,
You can go to http://www.htc.com/europe/support.aspx
for upgrading.
U need to have a Wifi or Data connection.
There are 2 upgrades.
Try chnaging the dates in your phone to future year or month once you are connected to Wifi or data connection.
Automatically an upgrade message screen will pop up.
Then press ok.
Once the first upgrade is done install that , ofcourse teh phone will ask u to do it so just follow the instructions.
Then the second upgrade message screen pops up. This one is around 75 MB.
Go for it and upgrade.
BUt back up the entire data just for safety although nothing is lost for me.

mark, 09 Jul 2010i have updated my hero to 2.1 but i cant get live wallpaper... moreas i know live wallpapers are just runnin on customroms. looks like 528mhz proc. hasnt enough power.
