If you want buy the hero i say (never buy brown hero)
You can update your platform to Android 2.2 and see different things to your hero mobile.this platform is very good for 3d games and you can play the ps1(playstation 1) games for your mobile phone.because hero had a powerful CPU. I hope you have better choose.

People this is an awesome phone and is obviously the best looking phone out there in the market today. I've updated it to 2.1 via custom firmware. Now its like a beast :D ! Bluetooth transfer is a breeze. I sent a 5mb song today within a min via bluetooth. If you want to get the best out of it, stop complaining and get your brains to the HTC and Andriod forums. Happy booting!

I love it I am a bit disappointed that the bluetooth don't work because I like sharing music with my friends. I love the silly Apps but I did pay for one call open house full a bit confused and I don't understand it.
Can any one recommend any descent Apps at all.

Yes! I think also! HTC will provide us Android 2.2 (Froyo) letter.
Why waiting for 2.1 Eclair? 1.5 cupcake is still now cool except file transfer via Bluetooth.
Hope for 2.2 Froyo update!

Good phone overall.. however should also have LED Flash... Can Be launched as an upgraded version.. Looks are good... overall 7.5/10 rating... Good Job HTC...

Yes it does have bluetooth, but it only has the capability to connect to bluetooth headsets etc. not other phones. There is an app on the market called bluetooth transfer (something along those lines) but this does not work too well.

I think HTC Hero is a Mobile Phone / PDA not easy to use all its capabilities by ordinary people. For instance, the synchronisms with Windows XP /Outlook data are further more a problem for me because at the Store Centres or Technical Assistance of Operators, they have not formation about this equipment. Neither with his Pocket, the Supplier send complete Instructions how we can use them (We must go to the Internet to obtain something). The Operative System Android adopted, seems to me more a problem than a solution. And finally, my hope is, that HTC will not crash between one/two years of use, with “humidity in Processor†as happened with my first Qteck S100, (1 year), next HTC3600 (2 years) and the Communication Operator, that sold them, assumes no responsibilities, because the respective general guaranties have a “special†reserve for this type of crashes…

Use Advance Task Manager available in Market.

i am using this phone past 3 months things that i find lagging in this phone are
1) battery life very poor , doesn't even last a day
2) no bluetooth transfer
3) very bulky and heavy
4) not able to send business card via sms
5) no separate button to click photographs
6) image quality suffers in night as there is no flash
7) video recording is very very poor

Be a hero - root Hero and install custom ROM! This is my first and my last HTC smartphone.
