I'm beginning to feel HTC are doing a 'SonyEricsson' with regards to V2.1 for the Hero.
They should have just released v1.6 last year, but instead held back this update to jump to v2+.
Announced in 2009 & then all of Q1 2010 passes with still no update. Not impressive HTC - this is letting your reputation slip with lack of timely support & information!

Wonder the radio can be use in this phone or the camera quality can be improve?any problem with the wifi connection as i read the legend got some problem with the wifi...thanks hope to hear from you soon = )

fyi, update is just around the corner with tonnes of goodies! HTC has confirm v2.1 on april 2 simultaneously starting from nordic countries, then to all rest of the globe.
iphone is not even smartphone, it's a kid's toy! can't even perform simple tasks.
and when you gonna get BT file transfer for you lame iphone btw?? hahaha.. xD

Great phone, great options, great OS with absolutely no problem, but.......the camera......if you want to buy this phone, do so, but take the pics only on day light, because the autofocus is very bad on artificial light. Have it for over four months and i am really happy with this phone, i use for work and fun all day!

Sprint working on Android 2.1 for Hero, Moment
Sprint (NYSE: S) is readying an Android 2.1 firmware upgrade for the HTC Hero and Samsung Moment, according to a leaked screen shot sent to Sprint stores.
The screen shot had a lot of interesting information but was way too small to easily read, so I’ll give you the important parts. Sprint said it is “actively working on having the Android 2.1 platform available to our Hero and Moment customers over the coming weeks.” More information about the update is supposed to be coming in April, and Sprint calls these handsets “superior devices.”
The 2.1 fervor comes just a few days after Sprint announced it will support the Nexus One. Let’s just hope Sprint doesn’t pull a Verizon with its 2.1 upgrade because I’m still waiting for that firmware on my Droid.

when wil v 2.1 come out? obviously, 2.1 wun come out officially until desire n legend r out in de market because from a business point of view, doing it tis way shud result in more sales of legend n desire, which both possess the v 2.1 eclair.
