Go to the hero Rom section download modaco custom 3.1 or 3.2 Rom...its bad ass...pls follow d instructions..

cant cant cant root the hero its driving me insane,ive tried every method going but no luck even the goldcard method.when im trying to downgrade to the wwe.1.7xxxxxx from 2.73.405.66 but im getting an error saying 140 bootloader please please help me to turn this phone into something special

I think you have to take into consideration all parts of the phone and style is a big factor for me and i can say that the nexus maybe a good phone but it sure is U.G.L.Y.....compared to the hero. Doesnt win me over, hero 2009/10 phone of the eyar, i love it!!

cannot compare nexus one with hero
the processor already lose by half
ram as well
so nexus one is a better and more expensive

Comparing the Hero to Nexus One or Desire is like comparing a BMW 318i with a 740i!
I have a SE Aino right now and I want to get an Android sooner or later, dunno if I wait for the Legend or get the Hero right now :/
Legend is pretty same look as the Hero but with:
-Better screen with 16M colors instead of 65k
-Flash LED
-Perhaps better video recording
But the Hero is certainly cheaper than an upcoming phone like Legend and it can be rooted easily...

Hello I have some practical questions about the HTC Hero:
- Are ringtones loud enough? (Compared to SE and nokia phones)
- Anyone tried a cooked 2.1 Rom to see if the screen got 265k colors instead of 65k?
- Is the screen bright enough to use it as ''torch'' since the Hero hasn't LED flash?
- Can you define (by modding the OS) a physical button as camera one?
- Can you mod the camera driver to have VGA recording mode?

ARE YOU KIDDING???? You can download millions of games for free or choose to buy them, yes you do have android market on here and its sooo good!! theres millions of applications to choose from including task killer which closes down all your applications if you open too many which can save your battery and keep on top of your phone, its great! You can easily access your mail accounts,facebook, twitter, myspace with a click of a button, you can choose what you want to put on your front screens, just drag and drop applications to your screens. Ive got my mail, my messages, horoscopes, alarm, myspace inbox, and more on my main screen, the battery is better but still goes if your downloading songs etc so may be advisable to get an in car charger. Although there is no flash you can download applications to help your camera take better shots which is brill and it truly does work. All these applications are in your android market which you will already find on your phone so you dont need to download it. Its there ready and waiting for you. You can also delete applications if youve downloaded it and dont want it or like it so your not running out of space. The keypad is great, a little small sometimes but you can turn your phone round and have it so the buttons are bigger to use, the only time your phone can get a little slow is when you have too many message in your inbox etc so its advisable to delete them once in a while to make your phone faster, anymore questions just fire away!!! hope this helps people, cheers

i am going 2 buy a hero .tell me if there is any prob with blue tooth pairing ? can it pair with any mobile. i am a nokia user will i get all the facilities in this mobile. heard its not very user frndly?
