Woo hoo! now got my phone and after a number of phones i tried before hand including the HTC Tattoo, Nokia E71 and Blackberry Curve i am now happy!!! and very happy, this phone is by far the most remarkable, its got everything you can imagine, if you have never had a touchscreen this phone will tempt you, the touch screen is great, its got thousands of applications to download for free, its brilliant and im very very happy, cant wait for the update software in March! If you want a phone with free and quality applications, music and reliability, then get this phone, its well worth the money!

i am getting this phone as a prize. i havent a clue about it at all to be honest.
it looks pretty good.
in laymans terms nothing too technical is it a good phone???

After making so many questions I just brought HTC hero. It's so great, I was worried about music quality, but music also so great.
But I'm new in androit, please someone tell me how to exit the browser?
&
My hero's trackball is so loss (not tight), when I pressed it goes little bit down, is it ok?
But response well.
Please reply, I'm so excited!

After making so many questions, I just brought HTC hero. It is fantastic, was worried about music quality, but its music is also great either hedset or loud speaker.
Its so cool.
But I'm new in androit, someone please tell me Ho to exit browser?
My hero's trackball is so lose (not tight) and when i pressed it little bit go down, is it ok? But it response is fine.

Hero will get v2.1 on march, while galaxy stays at v1.5 rusty cupcake.

crk, 10 Feb 2010got this phone for almost a week. great phone except my sig... moreNow this phone is 22k in India univercell but still Samsung galaxy is better for 14k because they give 8gb card with it. only minus in samsung is 128mb ram and this htc hero it is 288 ram. but in samsung we get 8gb card. we can think if this phone is 18k 22k is till costly because we get nexus one for that price(but not in india)..

got this phone for almost a week. great phone except my signal strength over my cell network is very weak. i kept on getting a drop call. need help over this problem. any solutions???? thanks guys

I was wondering if anyone has used this phone in Japan... does it work with local operators (e.g AU, Docomo, Softbank) on their contracts? I want to buy this phone and use it in place of my Japanese phone, but not sure if that will work or not.
I've tried researching it, and it seems it might work on some networks, but I'd like to be sure. :)

currently HTC HEro only supports headset connect protocol,it can support file transfers but you will have to root your phone and install an application from the market will supports bluetooth transfers,
i am able to transfer files from other phones by bluetooth as i am using this software,
it has simplified my life

Anonymous, 08 Feb 2010Please how to upgrate my firmware... and whats is romTo upgrade your ROM,you will first have to download a custom ROM from the internet example Modaco's.then you will also have to download a new Radio update for HTC hero and you can get all this by googling and if you want you can get from XDA developers and then put these in the memory card and these files will be .zip files,remember not an folder in the mem. card but just the root directory of the card .then switch off the phone and then by holding the power key and the home key simultaneously for a few seconds,you will get in the boot menu,then wipe all the settings there and then select flash zip from the menu and then select the radi updtae and follwo the instructions and then again do the above steps to got in to the boot menu and then again wipe all the settings and then select flash zip and select the ROM and let it install and reboot the phone and there you will have a new ROM on your hero.
