Woo hoo i just bought this phone and waiting for it to arrive, cant wait, thanks to the people who are giving out hints and tips of apps to download etc, thats what this site is for (not for silly beggers to put 'this fone is rubbish, get a blackberry') pathetic. Any person with half a brain would know that this phone is certainly gonna be hard to match never mind beat!!) I love htc's they have introduced the best phones, keep it up guys and gals, thanx

Hey guys here,
i am using hero from the past three weeks and i am very satisfied with it,now i got stuck to one phone,very good and hope you all very satisfied with it,
I am experimenting with many ROM's.
currently using villian rom 2.1
nice one,
waiting for the official android 2.1 upgrade,any news you guys got,reply

all users data transfring process
you have Outlook 2000 or earlier, you can't do a direct transfer to iphone. The easiest way I found was to use my Gmail account. 1. Export your contacts from Outlook to a Comma Separated Values (.csv) file and save on your desktop. 2. Open or create a new Gmail account.3. On left side of page, click Contacts4. Then, on upper right corner of contacts page, click import.5. Browse to your .csv file and import.6. Connect your iphone.7. On left, select your HTC HERO.8. Select INFO tab9. Under Contacts, select Sync Contacts with: Google Contacts (in dropdown).10. At bottom of page, under Advanced: under "Replace information on this HTC HERO: Select Contacts11. very good phone,the bugs in this phone almost fixed.
audio quality is not better than iphone 3gs and its cheaper than iphone.
i am planning to change this phone when HTC Bravo is released.

I have a problem with the bluetooth! i cant receive nor send a music or picture.My device will be discoverable in another phone but i cant receive or pair.so, how do i do.pls, i install the HTC SYNC but still i cant work with it.so, help me.

Have had the Sprint version (much better design then the one pictured) for about 3 weeks now. It is a great phone, good feel, touch typing is easy and fast once used to it. HTC/Sprint will be releasing Droid 2.++ for this phone shortly, so definitely a good buy. Only one complaint... make sure you inspect the phone very good before leaving the store (turn it on etc) The first one I received had a touch screen issue on the right side, like it wasn't aligned properly. On the second one I received, I have 3 sub-pixels out on the screen (wouldn't notice unless looking real hard at a black screen with the backlight on) which is a nuisance. The third one I got is perfect... Battery lasts the whole day for me and I run Exchange Email, and 3 gmail accounts, A stock ticker, facebook, and twitter... as well a location services for the weather app, and google latitude. If you get any Android phone, your first download should be a program manager like Advanced Task Killer... you will need it, as Android basically lets everything continue running when you run something and exit. Quick tip as well... holding down the home button will pull up the task switcher (Like Alt Tab in Windows) pretty handy when on a call! I am a long time HTC user as well and active on xda-dev for the past 6 years... and I say I am very satisfied! 9 out of 10, only because of the manufacture defects from the first 2.
