my friend u just go to googletalk and make your google account and press next when is don then u can use the market but do not forget your google account some time u forget the lock pattern then phone need your google account for unlock

2- Limited address book fileds - I can put more than one number on a contact, simply save the contact onto the phone or google contact, rather than save it on the sim, it's same as every single phone.
3- No GPS program ! - it support GSP, but do you mean sat nav software? google is build that now, and it will launch soon. but honestly, i dun rely on phone sat nav really if i am driving.
4- No Arabic font support ! - what's arabic font?? it support numbers in arabic, or do you mean input method in your language? that depend on whoever speak your language to design an app to support. and I have my own input anyway.
5- No Android market connection ! - again, that's faulty phone, go back to where you bought the phone and do exchange.
if these doesn't answer your questions, look for a book called "Manuel book of HTC Hero for Dummy".

3- No GPS program ! - Google maps! Or else CoPilot, so it definitely has a gps program
4- No Arabic font support ! - your problem I guess :(. Maybe should've bought it in Africa
5- No Android market connection ! - I definitely do. I use Android Market often and from the beginning I have Android Market connections.
All these cons are not true, and this phone is great. I have it for a week now, and it's fantastic.

But here on Hero there is some stupid problems also like that I could not send and receive files via Bluetooth !! Also in GSMArena I read that I could add unlimited field to address book which is wrong data and site people must avoid such a wrong information, I personally do not use google services so I could not use google account for my address book. one more thing is when I synchronize Hero with Outlook many fields in this way lost and as i had a Nokia E51, I revised around 800 contact on Hero and still many problem.

Ali Rashid, 16 Oct 2009Hi , it seems a bad machine ! I purchased month ago and it ... morebear in mind, people!! as I said in my previous post, DO NOT buy Android phone if your country doesn't supports Android market & google apps.
I noticed that there are no support for my country (indonesia), India, and Arab I suppose..
If you want to , you have to purchase your Hero or Magic on countries that supports them, like Singapore, or europian country.. and make sure that it is unlock version otherwise you might have some difficulties using it in your own country.
I hope this might be useful.

With google contact, you can add different address field, even customize the titles

Hi , it seems a bad machine ! I purchased month ago and it has below problems : you could not add extra address book field like second mobile number, time to time you have to delete email accounts as it is stop working suddenly without any reason !, No GPS program included to show even you coordinates, no Arabic font support and even you could not read website, SMS, email in Arabic and no support from HTC company, very low battery life, I could not connect to Android market ! and company has no way to solve ! and as total it is an expensive junk machine !

Is this version of the Hero (as opposed to the Sprint version) compatible with the 3G network in the US?
And the Sprint version changed the look, but is everything pretty much the same?
I want to buy this phone (the Sprint phone looks bad compared), but stay with AT&T and these questions don't seem to be answered anywhere.
