I am unsure which OS is better but I can confirm that you can use facebook, it is already saved onto the phones bookmarks, as well as Myspace, Amazon.com and CNN to name a few.

The onscreen keyboard is one of the best, not to mention it comes in 3 types to choose from in portraitode. It's not slow, check YouTube for some videos.

the phone is perfect!
It can do whatever i think to do...
android market...dunno what to say,you can find really what ever you imagine...
i had iPhone 3G and Nokia N85 before Hero...and for me those 2 can hide from this HTC and Android...
and in my opinion Hero is also better than iPhone in surfing on the web...

I would not recommend this phone.
- No bluetooth for sending files (File transfer profile).
- It's a tad slow, but that's because I got an old rom.
- Can't edit song/music tags.
- Not too responsive.
- A bit too small keyboard input.
- Music/sounds can through the rocker be turned lower & higher, even though the screen is locked for touch.
