Rich, 28 Jul 2009Symbian is dated, its about 2 years behind.. Fact.. Even al... moreWinMob better? Are u kidding?

Android = Toy -> Teenagers and guys who have time playing with it. I think in one year or so it will change and then i will go for Android. (I need outlook sync out of the box).

WinMob (Outdated and Heavy) -> If you are very patient, do not like learning other os and don't care about rebooting your mobile all the time -> go for it.

Symbian -> Outdated? Yes. But it's stable. If you are going to use the mobile for business, then Symbian is your choice. But i would go for the E72 and not for the n series as it can edit Office files and has a better processor.

Anyway, taste is like A!*%... . Everybody has his own.

            Cheers

Played with this phone over the last few weeks. Im glad my network sells this phone as of today as what it does is 10 times better that the iPhone. More applications (most free unlike the iPhone - and the iPhone even tells you the apps may not work... whats that about???), better camera, so much faster internet connection, the touch screen works the same as the iPhone (which was the iphones main thing which put it above other phones). I know what Im going for come august when my upgrades due!!!

Symbian is dated, its about 2 years behind.. Fact.. Even all the reviews state so, only Steve Lichfield of All about Symbian raves on about his preistoric symbian devices.

N97 - Waste of money, why go back 10 spaces from a basic touch screen phone?

WinMo is better, but still has a lot of quirks and bugs in, Windows Mobile 7 will really iron all these out, thats going to be good when its out.

For now, its Android, the upcoming open source operating system which is way ahead of symbian already.

If you really think you know anything about phones, stop hiding behind the nokia/symbian crap and come into the real world, I did 2 years ago and I'll never go back.

Would you say the Hero is worth getting simply as an alternative touchscreen phone for browsing and simple tasks like texts/calls etc

I don't particularly need to sync it with my e-mail or facebook or have any particular business needs.

I just want a good, easy-to-use, sensitive touchscreen mainly for browsing.

Is this phone for me? or Can anyone suggest a different alternative to the Iphone. A responsive touchscreen is my main priority

                      Please advise. Thanks

anyway, not interested in a 4.3" screen.. (its an old news) too big, 4.3"? that is a shit! HTC HD that has a 3.8" screen is too big for me.

                          3.5" is the limit.
