Everyone can still wait but according to htc USA the plane of launching android m on HTC one e8 has been dropped and only security updates will be provided to htc one e8.

As I have mentioned earlier , HTC E8 will be 480$ feature phone if HTC is not giving 3G in 900 MHz or LTE in 1800/2300 MHz in India . As we can see that it is enabled in other areas of world .
It will bad future for HTC , if they don't understand the need for customers atleast now .

How many of you have noticed these two bugs with sense 6?
1. The phone does not vibrate when a call is answered even though vibration feedback for calls is enabled.
2. WhatsApp still gives notification when priority mode is set though priority is not enabled for WhatsApp.
I hope they've fixed this in the M update.
Since lollipop was a major update, it was stupid of HTC to retain the same sense skin on 5.0.2 for 2014 devices.
I have also come to know that they've improved the search on the dialer in sense 7. In sense 6 and below if you dial a number (1234567890 for eg) and of you have stored the contact of this number with the country code, then the contact does not show up when you dial the number. Smart dial works though seemlessly.
The feature HTC has still left out in sense 7 is heads up notification for calls while using an app which was introduced in 5.0. The call notification still shows up full screen irrespective of what you are doing at the moment.

I am using CDMA on this phone and only one variant was sold in India.

It has following 4g bands which is like following. which is useless for us. Unless they switch bands for us in next upgrade. One more issue that will they give VOLTE on this phone if they enable 4G bands on it.

HI guys.... people who got MM update and ppl who tested for MM beta, have u checked whether 4G LTE is working now with this phone or not for 1800MHz band?
I am from Calcutta and we have 1800MHz band frequency for 4G LTE provided by Vodafone, but I can't use it as I am still on Lollipop! So, was wondering if things would change with the new MM update

Shekup, 05 Apr 2016Going forward htc one e8 will only receive security updates... moreThe update is in pipeline and as I have been telling in my previous posts, it is most likely that they have found a bug and are in the process of fixing it. I had a chat with the customer representative of India and the person said, there would definitely be an update to Marshmallow. It's just a matter of time.
