AnonD-119162, 05 Sep 2014I have been using the M8 for a month now. I just love this... moreIndeed, HTC phones are great despite the poor camera. The frontal dual speakers on the M8 is an important feature for me. I hate lousy loud speakers. Another thing why I love HTC because of the HTC Sense. Nothing can match the user-friendliness and flawless of the Sense UI.

I think the Xperia Z3 would be the biggest flop of this year. No any hardware or software improvements, just the old Z2 with a new name. At least Sony made the best compact phone (Z3 Compact) phone of this year. That's the only thing I appreciate about Sony. Sony completely failed me in this year.

Definitely the Note 4 will be the best phone of this year. However, 90% of the upgrades from hardware department, very minor improvements from software department. I don't think it's a wise decision upgrade from Note 3 to Note 4. If you a Note 4 user, you should wait for the Note 5 in the next year. If you are a Note 2 user, then it's a great upgrade.

Anyhow, Note 4 will be the best phone of this year.

I am using the HTC One M8 past 3 months. And I would say this is the best mobile phone I have ever used in my life.I did lot of individual tests to check the battery life of the device. I once continuously played music on my phone non-stop for 49 hours straight from initial battery meter charge at 88%.After listening for 49 hrs, the battery meter showed 2% charge remaining. Now this is incredible. Why? Just imagine if I would have started playing music from 100% charge itself, I would have got like 52 hrs or so. Next test I did was to check video playback battery. I got 5 hrs and 41 mins on 100% charge at very good brighness. So, when I am using the phone normally, I get to charge the phone every 2-3 days minimum.Way to go HTC (no wonder they are still nowhere in the market) comparing sales to Apple, Samsung or LG and this kind of surprises me.Such a lovely full featured handset and company not doing well.

I have been using the M8 for a month now. I just love this phone. I came from a Samsung Note 3 so believe me, M8 had some big shoes to fill to satisfy me. To be honest, from the way I use the phone, I feel that the battery life of the M8 is superior than the Note 3 a little, but not much (again, this is according to my usage). Performance wise, I dont get any stutter, hiccup or anything on the M8 like I did with all my past droids (S1, S2, Note1, S3, Note2, S4, S4 LTEA with snapdragon 800, Note3. The main reason I went for this phone is because of the dual boomsound speakers and the 2 watt amp to power any kind of headphone with ease. After using this phone, I cant go back to my note3 cs I keep noticing a yellow tint on the amoled panel which is frustrating. I would recommend this phone to anyone as I feel it is the best for now. Again, guys I am not bashing Samsung, I still am a fan and can't wait to get my hands on the Note 4.

                Hello and Salam All.
I wana give review about this phone.
                .
i used Galaxy s2, s3, htc one m7 and now htc one M8. and i am quite happy with my decision. s2 and s3 was the best stylish design in their era.
But Htc one m7 was perfect design for 2013 and htc one m8 is also perfect beauty beast for 2014. (but i personally like htc one m7 design more) but Htc one m8 has dual cam in his back which give bossy feeling among ur family n friends.

Now Performance of this phone is simply awesome. To be very frankly all high ends phone like S5 , Note 3 and HTC ONE M8 (i dont like iphones, in my view iphone is cheater company) , all these phones have same experience if u play games.. i dint feel any difference in playing games at all in all three phones. May be little bit high or low performance can be felt in some session of the game but believe me that is extremely unnoticeable.

Camera of this phone is perfectly awesome. Mark my words AWESOME. FOR USING ULTRA MEGAPIXEL of HTC ONE M8, you have to do 1 minor change in Camera Setting for activation of ULTRA PIXELS. (i.e) Go in Image Setting, Make Contrast to 0.5, Saturation to 0.5 and Sharpness to 0.5. then i give you guarantee you will be amazed it will give you better image than DSLR. :)

Battery Timing.. Wonderful Battery timing... :) i can spend all my day very easily :) with normal use of whatsapp , playing some game like batman or nfs or asphalt, with some of 3g usage. its best battery :* :)

The Last thing... you have to do so much care of your phone... because its steel body if u have any scratch on it.. u will feel disappoint.. but obviously its 10 times better than plastic body :)
You have to take in this phone in some soft cast ( Not hard case, hard case also give scratches any phone either plastic or steel)

and sound system is also astonishing, playing games with boomsound give so much pleasure :) with surronding effects in ur phone..

and its UI is best ... i personally like it so much ... i used touchwiz, i liked that too but this htc ui has blinkfeed feature ... omg its simply fantastic feather :*

So guys dont listen fake comments on this forum of sammy or iphone trollerss...
Just go for this phone... and it will not have Pink tint issue like HTC ONE m7, becauase that was 1st experience of htc m7 of usage of ultra mega pixel.. so in low light it gave pink tint issue...
but in m7 mini, htc one max them cope up that issue...
so this issue is finished :) NO MORE ISSUE IN M8. i have been using this phone since 4 5th april :) its amazing...

GO for it.. Good Luck guys :)
in my views phone has to be attractive in term of design and material... its premium body material...

you will love it more than your gf , bf , wife or husband ;) (Y)

And advice for samsung pls learn from htc.. they learn from their mistakes.. and you repeat same mistake in term of design and material :(.. thats why i left samsung brand and adopt HTC.. and i proud on my chocie .. I love htc now after htc one m8

yanche, 03 Sep 2014How about the battery? Im not game addict, playing game on ... morethe battery life is decent but it is heavily dependent on the screen on status and calls time.

in screen on mode the battery last for 6-7 hours.

my device is good for moderate to heavy use for 14-16 hours after a full charge.

which is fine for the moderate user. not for me though since i need to use bat pack sometime in the day. nevertheless, this is more durable in terms of bat life smartphone i ever had.

I'm one of the top commentors on GSMArena blog and you learn something new from some great commentors like eske rahn, ET, dh dog, chuck norris etc.

It's not about expressing views but more like sharing with a great community and interacting with them. Also the section is full of fun with many sarcastic comments. Also disqus is a much better commenting system having notifications for all the replies to your comment.

Pocketnow and AA articles are interesting i agree but pocketnow seems a little biased to me. Also their comment sections are boring. GSMA have the best comments section and the articles are more professional. However, i do visit all three of them regularly but comment only on GSMA blog.

Of course you can adjust the resolution on mobile games. I hope you are using a laptop. Yeah GTX 760M more than enough for play games.

Earlier, I recommended the Galaxy Alpha for my sister. But now I think, I would rather recommend the Xperia Z3C. Galaxy Alpha is insanely expensive. She could rather buy a Galaxy S5 at that price. I hope Z3C would be a great phone as well as cheap.

Regarding the resolution. I haven't seen any game on android which has the option to decrease resolution. On pc games we have that option but not on phone. I'm not a gamer but my gt 765m also handles everything at 1080p.

I prefer these discussions on the blog though. Do you visit gsmarena blog?

For example, you can get better fps on Crysis 3 by playing it on the 720p instead of 1080p. Yeah, 720p resolution on a 1080p monitor is horrible. Anyway, I don't have to do that because I have a GTX 690 4GB VGA in my PC.

I played Asphalt 8 on my iPhone 5s smoothly than the HTC M8 and Galaxy S5 owing to 640p display on the iPhone 5s. But some of my friends who own iPad Air complains that high-end games are quite lagging on their high resolution iPad. I'm not sure because I don't own an iPad, but they say.

I badly need a Galaxy Note. I sold my iPhone 5s and got some amount of money. This is my first Galaxy Note that I'm going to buy. I can't wait until the next year. I'm interested about the iPhone 6 as well. But I think I should wait for the iPhone 7. I hope to buy a Tab in next year. I'm not sure, my plans are always changing.
