The HTC One M8 is an amazing all round phone - great battery life, blazing fast, super responsive, gorgeous screen, great camera and an intuitive Sense 6.
Battery life is really important for me (gadgets with dead batteries are just a paperweight!). The M8 definitely excels in the battery life department. Been using the phone for about a month now and I can consistently go 2 days and have ~20-25% remaining. Really like how I use the phone without needing to worry about the battery life - WiFi, mobile data and GPS are always on.

The phone itself is a beast, super fast and responsive. Coupling that with the vibrant display makes the M8 a pleasure to use whether I'm checking email, browsing the web or playing games. If you like watching videos then you're in for a treat - the speakers are simply "wow". It is definitely better than the speakers on my laptop, and almost as good as my actual desktop speakers.

The camera is really quite amazing, works well in low light and with the duo camera you can create a nice depth of field effect which is hard to get with anything other than a DSLR. Having said that, the camera probably has received a lot of criticism from reviews and there is a nugget of truth there. It is a 4MP camera, which means if you plan on printing your photos it might be a bit grainy. However, if you're mainly using it just for social media then you'll be fine - 4MP is more than enough. I personally would prefer the UltraPixel and probably 8MP, but
can't have it all I guess!

Finally, there are a lot of really nice features that HTC have put into Sense 6. Having used a Nexus (stock Android) for about a month, I can say that Sense 6 doesn't stray far from stock. They've added a few extra features (motion gesture ftw!) and made a few tweaks here and there, but the overall feel is actually quite similar to stock.

Disclaimer: I received the HTC One M8 from HTC to checkout the awesome features. The above review is written because I wanted to and is 100% my opinion/thoughts.

Okay, I know that everyone have already raved about HTC One M8 design, but I just have to express my own opinion because when I finally get my hands on it I was literally stunned, I was speechless for a while, seriously, for me M8 is not just a beautiful smartphone but it's a metal artwork. Yes, an ART.. and I'm not exaggerating, if you are a person that is into design as much as I am, there's a good chance that you'll agree with me. Its curves, its colors, its buttons and every single details just fall perfectly in your palm. So it's not only wonderful to look at but it's also a marvelous thing to touch.

Okay, enough about the design, if you are not the type of person that cares about 'looks' and just wanted to know about this phone performance, well what can I say M8 is fast and fluid, there's no such thing as 'lag', multitasking experience on this phone is very satisfying. Kudos on the 6th Sense!

And when talking about the audio experience on this phone, I must say that, until now there is no other smartphone that has a better speaker than the HTC One M8! It's a fact. I've listened all flagships phone. No comparison at all. For this I'm willing to bet ;)

Now, about the camera, first, let me tell you that I'm an average user that use a smartphone to shoot those moments when I'm hanging out with my friends and family, mostly those moments happens during the night and M8 never failed to capture those low light moments. I also love to take a picture of my food (yes, I'm that kind of people, sorry --") and you know what? Creating a close up picture using M8 is awesome.. It's clean and crisp even in the low light condition! for example : https://twitter.com/LeYoniy/status/478777417075408896

And when we're at the good light condition, HTC One M8 also reproduce a great result - https://twitter.com/LeYoniy/status/480355652653432833

I also love the UFocus feature, I think it's a neat little feature. My friends always asked me to take a picture of them with my M8 so that they could use it as their profile picture.

And one more note about HTC One M8 camera - Its 5MP front facing cam! GENIUS! Love it! There's a time where me and my friends can't find anyone to help us take our picture together, so we just do selfies and end up doing it multiple times because all of my friends love all the outcome photos of M8 front cam!

And you know what else that I like from this 4ultrapixel cam? Those lovely pictures came as a rather small file, so I could just upload them easily, no need to resize them. So for me, for my daily use, I could say that I'm satisfied enough with the HTC One M8 camera.

Oh, one more thing, the HTC One M8 battery - Incredible! I could get 2 days with 6+ screen on time on a light use (meaning, I used it for chat, browsing, twittering + full WiFi) and I could get 1 day easily with 5+ hours heavy use (watching videos, chat, browsing, music, taking photos, play games).

I guess in the end, all smartphone these days have already advance but for me, HTC One M8 is one of a kind, it's not only a gorgeous phone to look at but it is also a phone that have brought the best smartphone experience so far..

In term of smartphone, yeah, I think I have found my SoulM8 ;) *pun intended

I decided to replace my phone with a Snapdragon 810 equipped device. Suddenly, my phone stopped working and no service made it work again. Then I did a detailed research and ended up buying HTC M8. Today is my fourth day and I'm soooo happy that I bought this phone. Brushed metal unibody is awesome and slim enough. HTC Sense 6 user interface is simple, eye-catching and flawless. Blink-feed future has already made me rule out twitter. You cannot zoom in photos as an 13MP camera does but you can capture crystal clear photos and manipulate them in quite a few ways which are really cool.

Samsung S5 and Sony Z2 are nice phones but they are far from being an enthusing phone like M8.

When Samsung releases it, HTC will release a phone with even better spec. Therefore, no one wins in the spec war.
