AnonD-8543, 18 Jun 2014My problem is not of detection of card.. But the problem is... moreTry a factory reset. It must solve the issue. As I know m8 has no such issues and it must be some internal setting or broken code or bug doing this.
Warning: backup your important data( especially contacts and other sensitive information) before factory reset.
If even that doesn't work, format the card using the phone( backup your data in the card first). This should solve the issue.
If both fail, go to a service centre or wait for the next update.
Have a nice day

AnonD-8543, 18 Jun 2014My problem is not of detection of card.. But the problem is... moreOf course, we can do nothing regarding this and this is not only happening to HTC phones. Some of my friends who using Galaxy S4 and Note 3 also facing the similar problem. Just wait until Google solve the problem with their next update. I think Google need to force Android phone manufacturers to design their phones without an SD card. If this issue remains unchanged, future Android devices won't come with an SD card slot.
Anyway, I hate SD cards; my previous HTC M7 was very convenient to use without an SD card.

I’ve been using the HTC One (M8) for a couple of months now, having got it at launch, and am still finding more and more to love about it. I’ll go through a few of the main features…
The Software
Sense 6.0 is awesome – I love the new-look BlinkFeed, SenseTV, and how you can now select themes. Before the M8, I’d used the original One for a year so was already used to many of these features, but I was pleased to hear that HTC had improved these further. I would like to be able to have the ability to change themes a little more and create my own – maybe this will be included in an update in the future. The whole software experience is very smooth and runs extremely quickly – I thought the original One was fast, this is a lot faster.
The Camera
Though on paper the camera looks to be the same as the original HTC One, it’s not. It’s been improved massively and the colour dynamics you get from the images taken is exceptional. Sure, it doesn’t have a crazy high number of megapixels, but I’ve not missed that. I can take great photos in low light, plus use really cool effects. The UFocus effect, for example, makes all my friends jealous – they wish they could do the same. The features such as 360 Panorama are pretty cool too, and quite simple to pick up.
The Design
Is there a better looking smartphone? I’ve not seen one yet. The metallic feel and structure of the device makes you know you’re holding a premium phone. When paying a premium price for a product you should get a premium phone – that’s what you get here.
BoomSound
I really love how HTC have thought about the sound quality from their phones. They realised how it’s silly to have the speaker on the back, plus added an extra speaker to make it louder and clearer. Though it’s still a long way to being excellent – this is a phone, and it’s great for portable music.
The DotView Case
I’ve also used the DotView case – it’s great fun, and I’m hoping updates come to improve it further. It’s great to have a functional case which looks good and protects the device – fantastic idea.
In Summary
I really love my phone. It does everything I need and more. If you’re looking for a premium device then I don’t think anything else currently on the market will beat it.
