I promised you guys that I will add a detailed review here once I got this phone. I bought this phone last Friday, as I promised here is my review.

    Build quality and design

The first impression is its lovely design with excellent built quality. I bought this in gun metal colour. This one is quite heavier and taller than the previous model. Although, it's not a big issue, it's perfectly fit to my hand and pocket. Its curved shave is really comfortable to my hands. I can't even feel that I'm holding a phone. This phone doesn't come with water resistance; although, I'm pretty sure it can survive in water.

    Display

The display is really gorgeous. It's more vivid and sharp colours with compared to the M7. The display is really fast responsive and no any delays at all. I saw on a article mentioning that HTC M8 has the fastest responsive display over any smart phone, which is not a lie because I feel it.

    Performance and battery life

Performances are really impressive. I haven't faced any single of lagging so far. Similarly, the battery life also good. I can use around 9-10 hrs by heavy usage and 15-18 hrs by moderate usage. Ultra battery saving mode gives really impressive results when your battery life is low.

    Camera

I know this is the most important item that everyone concerns.I can say this time that Duo Camera is not a gimmick. It’s has TWO lenses: one actually takes the photo and the other collects depth information, allowing for some amazing effects and wizardry with what HTC calls the Ultrapixel Duo Cam.

Give a chance to this one. The camera performance are really improved with compared to the previous one. Photos are really sharp and vibrant and low-light performance has improved further. Not only the rear camera, but also the 5 mp front camera is superb.

    Audio

Do not worry about lack of Beats Audio integration. Because Beats are completely useless. I feel the music quality is better even without Beats. The frontal dual speakers have improved further more with superb music clarity and great volume.

    User Interface

The new Sense 6 is almost same as the previous one but slightly different. The navigation buttons are now on the display. Overall the new Sense 6 is smoother and faster than the old version.

    Overall

Overall HTC M8 is a great phone with lot of upgrades. You will never regret once you buy this. This phone comes with additional features such as motion gestures, dot view case and really cool camera features.

    Give it a chance.

Only built-in file manager that allow data transfer from internal to external storage on KitKat 4.4.2

So, lack of built-in file manager make the *"external memory card slot" remain useless for now

Hope theres a fix/update on KitKat and/or HTC for this matter

This model has a barometer. :)

Which makes it almost perfect. All its missing is FM Transmitter (not to be confused with FM Radio) (receive).

Also, it has been mentioned by others that HTC has a smoother UI than some of the other android phones out.

AnonD-256320, 21 Apr 2014What about HDMI port?HDMI port is for connect to a TV, computer monitor or projector through a HDMI cable.

It's the same scenario as VGA out put of a laptop that connecting to a projector.

Anonymous, 19 Apr 2014Any chance that there might be a dual sim version of this?Lets hope so!

And would be even better if HTC One M8 Dual Sim offer both sim 1 & sim 2 slots interchangeable function between GSM & CDMA, that will give great flexibility even more! (HTC One M7 Dual Sim only offer interchangeable function on sim 1 slot).

Also, since HTC doesn't come with a built-in File Explorer/Manager, hopefully there will be a fix or update on Android Kitkat 4.4.2 that allow internal-external storage data transfer (with no root needed), otherwise the memory external slot will remain useless.
