having confusion about the chipset of this m8 eye...gsmarena says it has sd800 but htc official says it has sd801....also saw sd800 in one of the unboxing video on youtube.....so guys anyone who has this one m8 eye please check & let me know is it sd800 or 801???

Using this phone since last 15 days and getting awesome experience. Battery life is superb. It goes upto 15 hours on continuous wifi. Camera is awesome. Great audio specially with its beats earphone. and lollipop will be available by the end of Jan. Go for it.

There is an option of Sony xperia Z2 aswell. But then there is a personal preference of weather you are a HTC FAN or a Sony one.
I have even use a Sony Xperia Z3, but found the Xperia UI, to be very clustered. After 4.4.4 update all the icons seems to be enlarged which is very looks pretty bad.
When someone choose a phone, the experience you get on HTC one is much better than Xperia, rest all of the points you mentioned is present on Xperia.

how can you hear the clicking of the phone when you touch an icon and/or touch the key pad an answer will be appreciated.Is there a chance this phone has a very low volume.

Only STUPID will buy this mobile when there Sony Xperia Z2 at the same price.
Xperia Z2 beat this M8 is all aspects except the speakes , let me tell you Z2 is also stereo speakers with waterproof ,and its loud enough for everyone.
Z2 Camera far superior, no match at all , 4k video, slow motion, variety camera apps,
Z2 far better battery , almost 2days.
Far better screen ,no match at all , IPS with new Live colour LED, with Sony triluminious , X -reality.
Does HTC even have their technology?? Lol

2. NO optical image stabilization features. Neither in M8 nor in M8 eye, due to dual camera.
M8 eye is a little cheaper and have better camera. Htc one m8 will get lolipop update first.
Now its your choice.

I have used both HTC one M8 and now HTC one M8 eye.
IR, NFC, 801 chipset is not present.
HTC one M8 front camera is wide angle lens which is Awesom, but M8 eye is not having that. Its a normal 5 Mp camera.
Back camera is definitely better of HTC one M8 eye.
As HTC one M8 eye is using the older snapdrogon 800 chipset, the lolipop update will definitely will be available in very end of 2015. Don't expect the update as soon as M8 gets the lolipop update.

I m using m8 eye...awsome phone..battery packup .camera execelent....everything is fine...i watched movies in earphones 2hours movie 15% battery used...awsome for movies.....htc hatsoffff..thanku htc team....waitg for lollipop mak it fast heros

Its a humble request to htc corp.plz do not make htc m9 waterproof.becoz waterproof tech. destroys the loudspeaker.samsung realized their mistake and didnt turn note 4 waterproof.as a result speaker performance was way better than that of s5. Htc plz dont do this or boomsound will be history..!
