I purchased this phone in November 2015. Within 10 days of my purchase it completely hanged and went blank. the worst part is I was holidaying at that moment and was totally relying on this phone for camera. Thereafter it hanged twice but I got used to it. Within three months of my purchase this phone fell from a small height and the internal screen broke. Total waste of money.

very bad phone,dont even think to purchase. its worst and very delicate (cheapest) handset i ever had. display brocken when i keep my phone in jean pant pocket.in service centre they ask for rs 6800.i paid advance payment they committed for 4-7days.after regular follow up they told me display is not available and not sure when it will come.after 30 days i told them to i will complaint in consumer forum they offer me other cheap model.
very bad experience friends dont buy htc phones.e9s atleast.

There has been just two complaints so far :
1. No matter how many times I set the lock screen wallpaper....it somehow auto deletes the image
2. The battery easily drains

Bhupinder pal singh, 10 Mar 2016yes its htc e 9s display is very delegate its broken 2nd time .... moreVery delicate ..a drop of tea almost destroyed it .. couldn't remove battery had to re-download software because of defects . Can't automatically choose preferred sim for calling .. don't recommend it.

Just going through the comments for a review and opinion checks.

Interesting comments. Customers need a brick instead of phone. Everyone is bothered about the phone; it is delicate and screen broken because phone fallen less than a feet height, from chair, from pocket, kept phone under a pillow and slept over it? And this is HTC manufacturing problem?

Great specifications; light weight. supreme look. budget phone.

yes its htc e 9s display is very delegate its broken 2nd time ..when i put my phone on charge its crack automatically from in side not seen crack on surface its internal crack on display

Worst experience, I bought this company's phone 40 days back & surprisingly within a week time it has fallen from my hand from less than half feet of distance, and unbelievably display got completely broken now service centre people are asking me to pay Rs 6400 to get it repaired, Even though they donot have the display available at present, since last 30 days they kept my HTC phone with them stating that display is still not available.
I am going to file a case against them in Cosumer court that is sure.
People its my advise to everyone never go for HTC product.

Worst experience.... LCD broke in just 20 days, got it repaired in next 25 days...then in 2 months time it broke again...i bought a HTC phone for its premiumness....If premiumness is only in paying again and again, it is really bad. Now, in the 2nd time even the service centre has refused to keep the set, they were just laughing when i went to them, they told me that they already have some 6-7 pieces in hand for same problem and they cannot accept further. They shall inform me once the part is available, after that only follow up and follow up , no resolution....
BAD BAD BAD!!!!!! only these words.... :(

Very delicate phone. got display broken from very low height fall. service centre is asking for 6750 and 1 month's time. the display of Nokia and samsung are more tough and durable.

Trusting in this brand and the fact they always charge premium for their models which i equated to durability & service; I purchased HTC e9s in January end. From day 1 I started facing excessive battery drainage as well as heating problem. Then a 2 weeks later; the LCD broke. Like a good consumer, I took it to the service centre. They assured me that they will call me when the LCD will be in stock; which will day 10-15 days ( As oohysical damage id out of warranty, they will charge for the LCD which should be around 8000/- ). On the 12th day; which is today; I called them to ask the status. Their reply - " The LCD is still not in stock. It is not even in stock in the entire country. They have raised a purchase order and the stock shall be imported in 15-20 days from now. After it reaches India; it will be distributed in all the service centres. This service centre itself has 7 orders for LCDs; people who have submitted their phones. After, they are served; if they have any buffer stock; they will repair my phone. Otherwise I can keep my phone with them; but the timeline for repair will remain the same; something which even they dont know "

After a lot of calls and escalations; they propose me another option - pay 7000; which is the cost of the LCD and they will give me a swap phone - HTC Desire 826. I request them to give me HTC One e9s atleast in place of Desire 826; afterall both the phones are comparable and they cost the same. Only difference lies in the look; primarily for which I selected e9s over 826. But that is " against company policy " !!! Now, if I take 826; It will be a huge compromise for me and also, a loss on te monetory fund. On top of that I will have to wait more than a week for the 826 as well.




To sum it up - I dont know which is more horrible with this brand; the service or the quality ... I am pretty much at a fix now; my money is gone and still; I dont even have the guarantee to have my phone repaired in an acceptable time.

My phone's internal screen broke in very little height and service center askme for 6750rs.Why this will be gorilla glass and it will be not claimed in warranty

My phone's internal screen broke in 2 day when fall from very little height and then took 4 month to repair
Again screen broke in 4 days automatically by itself
This phone is in service center since I bought it. Really don't buy it.
