Seems like a very nice phone, but I like the 6 inch screen displays. Where is the follow-up to the HTC One Max ???

Same design like others M7/M8 HTC can do more better then this design so can HTC change this design -_- plzz

I had a M7. Sold it. This M9 looks like a decent upgrade. But I am no longer in love with metal phones. Too many disadvantages just like glass. HTC ONE is really for fashionistas, iFans who love good design who are thinking of switching, or short-sighted people who don't mind owning a phone less than two years. Once the battery degrades, you are stuck with it. And the iFixit rating is terrible. You can always download the HTC launcher and apps. Until then, Samsung Galaxy Note series or LG G series for me.

AnonD-369449, 04 Mar 2015Not against the water - not against scratching - not resist... moreIt is against scratching (gorilla glass 4), the water resistance is rarely seen in flagships (only Sony was really water proof but apparently they won't make smartphones anymore) and about the resistance, well, I have seen a M8 fall from a 5th floor and survive long enough to recover all the info and last another week before getting another one.

M9 has equipped with gorilla glass4.
and I have to say that most of htc enemies come here to destroy M9 face.the other brand wages come here and say some ridiculous words about M9.why? I lnow that,because M9 is the best and complete phone. it,s very very better than other android phone. I said and say again,htc 0ne series(and maybe butterfly series) have to compare with iphone.in speed,UI and software working htc is the best and different with other android.
M9 IS EXCELLENT IN CAMERA,CPU,GPU,RAM,ROM AND SPEAKER AND ....
don't listen to those jealous wages.

It's not cool just seeing a phone looking the same at its 3rd generation. Not even Apple does this, after it's S model they change the look somewhat. HTC really have and can do better with its design I'm thing more of an M9 with the Desire Eye look but metal. I think that would have nailed it. A square camera back takes a lot away from this premium look also (too Samsungish/cheap look) A camera back like the Nokia Lumia 930 would've look awesome. Respect due for bumping up the camera,the processor, the UI and battery but all that is automatically expected in any new flagship phone. Folks with an M8 looking at an M9 may not even put thought into purchasing it just by it's twin look. HTC should have had one trick card up its sleeve (if sticking with a clone design) to a mass the consumers and that's an ip65 and ip68 rating.Waterproof and better battery always win.

Bit random having a 4MP front camera, never seen a 4MP front snapper!

I'm with you. Thinner is NOT always better. I've gotten rid of phones in the past for that very reason and it is one of the main reasons I do not like the new iPhones (not that I did anyway). To thin and to slippery. Give me something with a little more meat on its bones.

Htc you can make better than this in the m9 plus wake up

Well, to me HTC made M9 better than M8, improved in many ways - Gorilla Glass 4, Snapdragon 810, 3gb ram, Dolby sound, 20mp camera & 2840mah battery...
People still complaining because they expected too high & they want to see surprise...
Keeping almost the same design, size & screen have made many of them disappointed... & this is also why this time S6 draw more attention than M9...
Don't forget that human's brain is very much affected by their eyes - the first impression!
