Piseth, 04 Mar 2015Apple & other android phones become thinner, but htc be... moreNo more thinner phones for me, M8 is already hard to handle because of the lack of grip plus it's just so thin. I don't even have big hands.

Htc went for same design or very similar. Ok. Same good old metal robust design. But what i liked in the m9 is that they kept resolution at full hd which will enhance video and graphics And gain battery life. htc no gimmicks as always. Finaly i hope prices to be reduced cz very close or even more than an iphone 6. Could be danderous

AnonD-370506, 03 Mar 2015Sony has stated that they are going to stop doing smartphon... moreSony said just otherwise on wmc:

robdevil XI, 03 Mar 2015New shape! Waterproof, dust proof, higher screen resolution... morethere are people who were born to criticize others, they always wanted more when they themselves cannot improve theirs. technology will always evolve, but shapes and forms will remain the same with minor alterations to differentiate from others and previous forms. people here should try to practice criticism with intelligence.

robdevil XI, 03 Mar 2015Im not a samsung fan but this time Samsung win. HTC is Froz... moresamsung galaxy s 1,2,3,4 & 5 were all made of plastic and now s6 is metal just like htc m7 & m8 so with m9 that is why everybody can say that samsung made some great changes. do you think its logical for htc m9 to return to plastic just like previous galaxy s models?

If it had a removeable battery I'd come back to HTC.
Had all of them and was forced to Samsung for the battery... now where can I go? LG I guess, doh!

it was expected something to blow HTC's fans from HTC side at this mwc but what they revealed is a big disappointment. those who are working hard will win the race and it seems that company like Lenovo are going to leave the HTC far behind in this race.

Despite the fact that the phone looks just like the old one, that isn't necessarily a bad thing. This year, HTC loses to Samsung because of the new, radical change that is the S6. And that's why the S6 garners the most attention, because it's very different from the rather disappointing S5. Since it's better than the S5 and all the bad rumors surrounding it, people feel that the phone is miles better. But what exactly is new or better on the S6? QHD? LG got it first. So does Motorola. Fast Charging? That's 2014 tech already. Glass-metal body? Let me introduce to you the Sony Xperia Z line, and the iPhone 4. Double-curved screen? LG ACTUALLY did the first double-curved screen, only they did not put it into production (but they make totally curved phones) Metal body? HTC is the most renowned metal smartphone maker, and iPhone have the first metal-and-glass bodied smartphone. Only Samsung actually combined all of this factor into production first. Because there are a strong difference to the S5, people thought that the S6 is the best. Nowadays people always and always wanted an ever-better specs for their phone... but for what? Where is that borderline of the list of specs and techs we actually use? What do we really use our smartphones for, in real day-to-day basis, were it not for Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, and Snapchat. And 6 months down the line, everyone will rant about how their phones have a 3-hour battery life, that QHD eats battery, and that the smartcard system in their phones, be it NFC or MST doesn't work, that they wish they have a bigger battery, etc, etc. You all get my point. The thing is, we are at the edge of what's possible, and there's little left to eke out of the smartphone. By introducing better iterations of existing technologies is the reason why people still buy smartphones every time a new one comes out. I think many smartphone companies already knew this. So instead: focus not only in the things we need, not all we want. Because eventually, you'll want a phone with an excellent battery life. Always-on signal. To share moments. To listen to music. When put to that perspective, the HTC and the Samsung doesn't really seem to be poles apart. All of their new products has their pros and faults, just like every other products they have. It's what they have on their phones that we want or need that counts. I'd like to listen to good music, and I choose HTC, because their phones are good at that. I don't mind having a 1080p screen because it's perfectly sharp and acceptable, and I got better battery life. I don't care about NFC except when sharing files with others. When I take pictures, I use my dedicated digital camera, because they took better pictures than any smartphones. And when I'm spending 750euros of hard-earned cash, I want it to look like it costs 750euros. Others WILL have different needs and wants. I might choose Samsung. I might choose HTC. Only time and hands-on experience will help me choose which one i liked more, or suit me more. and that's often the key decision on choosing phones
