This phone is good for backcountry trips. It gets so hot you can fry eggs on it, melt snow, start a fire... It has so many featured not mentioned in spec and some mentioned in spec are wrong by miles (like battery duration). If you dont mind hand burns and want a blazing fast phone with many new applied features for you to explore, check it out.o

i don`t know why there is alot of complains about HTC M9 !! , it`s really a very good phone with very beautiful design with amazing CPU speed .

i am looking at buying HTC M9 phone...my other options are sony xperia z3 / ASUS zenfone 2 deluxe / LG G4 which is the best...please help

I need to know, based on real-world usage (not benchmarks), whether this battery would be better than that of the Sony Xperia Z. I normally get at least 10 hours of battery life of solid usage on Z, which ranges from use of social media, watching YouTube and movies, around 1hr of gaming and a couple hours of web browsing, all on 30% brightness.

Battery life is as good as, if not better than most other flagships. What do you call heavy use? I would suggest that if you have to charge 4-5 times a day you either have a faulty phone or you are lying.

juls, 10 Sep 2015i'm planning to buy this HTC One M9, i'm more on gaming lik... moreTo be completely honest if you are coming from iphone 6 the battery is quite similar lasting a hour more than i got with the iphone 6. I do find it has improved with the updates. For gaming its fantastic and I have not come across lag which I did experience with the s6 edge GTA SA but I think that maybe due to the optimisation on the samsung. If you purchase the phone expect a lag free exceptional gaming device with superb boom sound but an ok to average battery. Im very fussy with phones and get rid of them as fast as i purchase them but my htc m9 is a keeper.

I bought an HTC One M9 directly from HTC's website. Before doing so, I was assured they offered a 30 day, no questions asked return policy.
After receiving the phone, but before opening the box, I returned it to HTC for a refund (I was getting uncomfortable with the reviews on its camera performance). I followed HTC's return instructions exactly.
Nearly 1 month later, HTC still has not refunded my money. I now have to spend countless time on hold.
I will never again purchase anything directly from HTC. They do not honor their own return policies and make it very difficult to get money refunded. Don't fall into the same trap that I did - do not buy HTC products direct.
