Btw that pink tint issue was a problem with some of the camera chips. So only some of the M7 phones was affected by it.there are 2 co-workers in my office with M7. The guy with the Hong Kong model has the problem, but the guy with the AT&T model don't.

Vikram, 04 Sep 2014Wifi direct is a feature for only same brand phones, u can ... morethanks for the explanation that doesn't sound crazy like the ones i was getting form HTC help(online). I was thinking it was a standardised format, like how bluetooth is.
seeing that the mass majority of Android phone owners where i am are Samsung users, i never faced the problem till i switched to HTC.

Wifi direct is a feature for only same brand phones, u can use sony to sony or htc to htc..but you have option to download SUPERBEAM app on all android phone and transfer data from one to another at 40mbps transfer which is double than wifi direct..hope IT HELPS

And have been getting the most ridiculous replies. One rep even tried to tell me that wifi direct is a special internet service that my service provider must support. When I told him how it worked on my old SIII he reminded me that they are not Samsung. I felt like the Tec support are not properly trained in mobile tec or I’m going crazy and invented a data transfer slandered that no one knew about.
They gave me the same response when I suggested that they put a file manager in the ROM to solve the 4.4.2 restriction issue. But now it’s reported to be coming in the newer ROMs.
So get enough people to complain about the wifi direct issue to HTC help/support desk (on-line) and explain how it works on other phones, and they will be forced to fix it just as they are adding the file manager now..
But for now I use a USB OTG cable and a flash drive or an app called (Send Anywhere) by Estmob inc. and a wifi network, if I need to share large files.

Anthony, can you please help me on my WiFi Direct with my One max? My friend was trying to send me a movie via WiFi Direct from his Galaxy Tab Pro, however, our devices are just "connected" but that's just it. He can't send the file to me. Whereas he sent the same movie to a friend's Galaxy Note 8 via WiFi Direct. Is it a compatibility issue? Thank you in advance for your assistance, Anthony!

In Call Recorder by. GrinZone
I got it in the play store over a year ago and it works on this phone too.
In settings you set the audio source as phone line and the gain level to 1.
It allows you to record both sides of the conversation without turning on speakerphone.
It will not work with a Bluetooth headset
there is a auto mode to record all calls but I find manual to be best.
The key to start recording can be to the left or right of the picture ID or in the notification tray so it's not pressed by accident.
It makes no tone, so the other person would not even know you are recoding them.
If it's no longer available in the play store, I can send you my backup . apk file over the .... Send anywhere app by Estmob Inc. Also available in the play store.

For those who are interested, there is a modified Adobe flash apk. That allows you have to play flash content in the dolphin browser on phones with Android 4.4.2

Battery does not last all day; The charger that came with the phone wiggles, does not fit snugly to the phone; It takes so long to charge it.Im done with this phone. Not a touch screen at all; you have to turn it on the side of the phone itslef to see the main screen. I am not recommending it to anyone.

Please someone help me out. I have tried different call recording apps but non has worked well. I can only hear my voice clearly but I can't hear the other persons voice because it's just too low. What can I do to make the two parties voices loud and clear? I always don't like my calls to be on speakers otherwise that would have worked.
